You have concerns with Grigs, Girgs and Hodgeson as you're top 3C?

Not realy a concern, just a notion of top flight centers can only be found at the top of the draft. The Sabres being able to draft Reinhart, would also give them the ability to move one of the C's you mentioned for a Winger. Most likely one of Hodgson/Grigorenko.

It seems to me like most other teams want Reinhart or Nylander. If the Flames get the #1 pick (that's a big IF) I say we trade down to the second or third team for some more prospects or another pick in the draft, take Ekblad and profit. However, if we don't get in the top 5 again, like we've never done before, I say we throw whatever possible at the top three teams to get their pick. We don't have any all-stars and we desperately need them. The Flames NEED to be a top three pick this year if we want to have any success in the near future.

This is what makes me scared. Flames are good at doing what we don't want them to do. So if we need Top 3... I see us finished 1-2 spots out of playoffs because some of our UFA's over achieve.

The Flames would be absolute fools to choose anyone other than Ekblad. He's a beast and surprisingly talented. Way too good to pass up.

Ekblad was given "exceptional player" status in the OHL draft when he went first overall. Keep that in mind.
