So if the Flyers win the Cup this year. And then for whatever reason, they miss the playoffs for 2 Seasons in a row after that. You won't be complaining about it?

Of course he'd be complaining about it. That's not the issue. I complain every year that they don't win the Cup, whether the finish dead last or lose in triple OT of Game 7 of the Finals. I'd rather have one year where I don't complain, mostly because they've never done it in my lifetime.

I hope you're prepared to accept a lot of empty netters.

Just trade Laughton and a 4th for Chara and put Chara in net.

Im 26 years old. I havent missed a game in 4 years (if I cant watch it during its scheduled time, I dvr it). I know full well I will cry when they do win the cup. I know it, my wife knows it, and anyone who knows my passion for the Flyers (and hockey in general) knows it.

I havent seen a cup ceremony since Detroit beat the Pens. I thought I would enjoy watching the Wings skate around the ice in joy after beating Crosby and co. It made me sick. I turned it off and my brother got pissed. I told him that I wouldnt watch another cup ceremony until it was the Flyers holding that Cup above their heads.

You think that's bad? Try being in your team's home building and watching another team skate around on your team's home ice holding it up.

My dad saw Montreal do that in 1976. I saw it in 2010. We lived. It stings but being more rational about it, it's something not many get to see live: the Cup skated around by the champs. Just shows how hard it is to win.

Can't do it. None deserve it.
