I never once said he was worthless, you're the one making things up. Getting Hemsky and Dubnyk is not nothing, I said he has as much value as Schneider, if not a little more...maybe you're not clear with what Hemsky can bring to a team, but I have seen him play for several years and he would be a solid addition to a team, but the Oilers are trying to go a little younger than he is, he would help a contender...I don't think Hemsky to Sabres makes much sense but IF he were to go there, i think Dubnyk and Hemsky should be more than enough to get it done - annoyance_101
You were on EK's board striking down every Sabres fan who said Miller is worth more than Hemsky. That is certainly installing a mentality that Miller has little value.

Than why were the Oilers brass at the draft pissed when Schneider got traded to NJ? They obviously had a better offer than the Devils. - benny948
No, they were TOLD that a 1st + 2nd + Paajarvi or whatever would be the price, so they were shocked that Gillis would charge such a premium. Not at all the same thing.
Sorry, multiple sources (many impartial) have shot down that MacT offered Gillis anything. They may have been informed by Gillis that that would be the price. |

Thats your opinion...I've never once said he has no value, re-read what I actually said instead of making things up in your own mind |

Depends on the source, it makes sense that the Oilers were trying to make a splash at the draft. After all, MacT said that he would make major roster changes. The Oiler's table did not look pleased when the trade was announced, and IMO that is the reason. |

I would rather have the 9th pick than Hemsky and Dubnyk. - Herzeleid
Well if anyone actually read what I said, I also said that Miller could go for exactly what Schneider went for, he's not worth much more if any more than that |

I don't have to prove anything, the Oilers clearly had a better offer. You can't deny everything that the media says, there were so many reports indicating that the Oilers made a very significant offer. |

Can you prove that? There is speculation that Gillis is the one that wanted that package, you cannot prove that MacT is the one that offered that for him... |

How do you mean? Remember that credible sources indicated that that was what Gillis pitched, not MacTavish. |

Just because you cant come to terms with the fact that your goaltender is not worth a kings ransom isn't my fault...its the truth...he'd go for a 1st...or Hemsky and Dubnyk at most... |

Never mentioned that Miller was worth a kings ransom, I said that he was worth a little more than Hemsky. Way to stuff words into my mouth. Come to terms with the fact that miller has value. Some Canuck fans can't get over the fact that some goaltenders in need of a scenery change have value. |

pissed? says who?
when? link?
rumour at best and total fabrication at worst.
the only thing we do know for sure is what gillis said. which was that the 9th was the best offer they received.
ANYTHING else is conjecture |
