I've had that same thought the entire morning...its a shameful thing to be a leafs fan I guess...

When I compare the stats below. I would rather have Bollands production than kesler. Pts/G they are almost identical. Bolland scores at a greater clip per game than Kesler. He also has a better +/- than Kesler ( i know that stat is not the greatest).

Dont get me wrong but I think Kesler is the better player for sure. But I look at what they have done in the playoffs and they seem to be closer than people would like to believe on this site.

+/- = +9
Sh % = 13.5

Bolland has 3 PPG, 3 SHG, 3 GWG

Kesler

Games = 57
+/- = -2

For the record I have lived in vancouver for the last 15 years. I grew up in toronto till I was 17 so yes I follow both teams and cheer for both. Didnt realize that it was a crime to do that on this message board.

Can you please let me know where I once said Bolland was better than Kesler. If you go back read all of my posts I said that Kesler is the better player for sure. I just said if you look at their playoff numbers they are actually quite comparable in the playoffs. I am stating this just based on facts not who i think is a better player or who i like better. News flash for you I like the game of hockey not just the vancouver Canucks. I am a huge fan of Patrick Kane and Toews. I dont care if they play for the hawks. 2 of the best players in the league IMO. I also like milan Lucic. I love the way he plays. I also heard a great story about his mother which shows what type of toughness the guy is made from. Ill tell the story at the bottom.

I would never take Bolland over kesler. On this site there was a debate a poster brought up. I was merely bringing up stats for the site to discuss on and to give a somewhat neutral opinion.

Just because I am a fan of a certain team doesnt mean I cant like another player on another team. Also not every canuck needs to be my favorite player. I am a huge LU, sedins fan. I am not a big fan of Kesler Burrows Lap. It doesnt mean I dont think Kesler and Burrows are very good players I just dont like them. Its called personal Preference. There are tons of players in the NHL that I like over the players we have. I cheer for the canucks not the players.

Lucic story:

A friend of mine told me this so Ill recount it to the best of my ability. His mom had a personal trainer and was in a session. She supposedly hurt her knee badly but didnt stop the workout till her session was over. Refused to quit until the 1 hr was complete. She later found out that her knee injury was a torn ACL. If that sh!t isnt crazy and shows what type of guy lucic is I dont know what will. Just crazy.

People can hate or cheer for whoever they want. My main goal when I watch sports to be honest is that its a great game or series. If my team wins then awesome. But if they lose I could care less as well. It doesnt change my mood or how my day will go.

I dont think thats a problem unless the sedins jump ship next year. I see the sedin situation very similar to Joe and marleau. Sedins easily can carry this team for 2 or 3 more years. If Bo and shink bust then we have real issues. But if we bring them on properly i can totally see the transfer happening slowly.
