I consider Devils/Islanders as a sort of "friendly rivalry" because both fan bases hate the Rangers far more than they could ever hate each other. This year almost all Devils fans were rooting for the Islanders against the Pens. Last year most of them were rooting for the Devils against NYR in the ECF.

Agreed! No ill will towards the Isles. In fact I was an Isles fan from 1971-1981, but living in NJ I wanted to cheer for the local team and not drive 2 hours to see a game. So I swtched to the Devils.

Where does he get this? The Isles are NOT trying to resign Brad Boyes. There is no room for him and his play diminished and then disappeared. Not to mention the Isles have 1 roster spot open for either Donovan, Strome, Nelson... If more then one makes the team then the Isles have to put someone on waivers.
