I don't think anyone is doubting Moore's on ice ability, as much as his mental state to perform to that ability after his missed time due to the loss of his wife.

From what I've read, seen he seems to be ready to move on, I mean its something that will stay with him forever obviously, but the last yr away has given him that deep breath to take & carry on like any human being has to after such a tragedy. I think (hope) he'll be fine. Not like he's a top 6 guy anyway that we are really counting on,

George Richards of the Miami Herald got his hands on a leaked version of the Florida Panthers schedule and the following are the three games the Panthers will play against the Rangers:

Sunday 11/10 at 7PM (Home)
Wednesday 11/27 7:30PM (Road)
Tuesday 12/31 5PM (Road)

nobody can ever truly recover from such a tragedy but yes, everyone must move on. people in these situations need a healthy distraction to get their mind off it and i can't think of a better one than hockey.

If the Rangers ever moved to a brand new MSG about 15 minutes from my house, personally I think it would be a personal gift to me from the almighty himself.

I don't see it happening though.

Imagine, all the money they are spending on refurbing MSG and it being closed down?

I think everyone is reading this wrong. Since it's the Florida beat guy writing it I take it to mean Florida is on the road for that 12/31 game meaning the contest will be at MSG.

Glen,

no I copied this from SNYRangers blog, and they wrote the home and road in there, indicating where the Rangers would be.

That's my bad.

I'm just excited to have someone on the team who can actually win a faceoff. Puck possession game and poor faceoff skills equal

NHL would be morons to have a home game New Years Eve. It is a logistical nightmare with all the added people in the city to begin with that day. It will never happen.

May be a Mickey Mouse move but they just wanted some articles written about their arena.

I'm surprised they don't do old school light blue ice for the winter classic(s). I'd support that

The first couple of pics i thought horrible, but then actually that last picture she tweeted with the crease painted light blue and the arena colors in the picture it didn't look too bad. Would be interesting to see a game played on it.

MSG is going looking to buy it as a business venture and move an AHL team out there because why not? That's all.

Hmmm...didn't they just renew their lease in Ct. with the Whale?

It would be a super smart move to have their AHL affiliate in Long Island.

I've been to a few New Years Eve games at the Garden. I don't remember any issues more than the usual drunks. Two games standout, one was on New Years eve 1966, against the Blackhawks. Bobby Hull was going for 50 goals, and there was a great media presence at the game, way more than usual. Rangers held Hull off the score sheet if memory serves and I think the Rangers won. Oh yeah, one more thing "Potvin sucks" was still 7 years away. The second, was later at the present garden, the Rangers were playing the Atlanta Flames, who were a big tough team. They had some real donnybrooks with the Flyers back then, real bench clearing fights. Anyway, the Flames were really tossing the Rangers around and then Captain Dave Maloney decided to take on the Flames Capt. Kurt Bennet. Well, Bennet gave Maloney one of he worst beatings I've ever seen in hockey fight. Just a couple of recollections from back in the day.

Great stuff old school. Also I def remember a New YEARS Eve Garden game in 86 or 87 against the Islanders, Sandstrom scored in OT in a big Ranger win.

I saw that too but what confused me was that in the same post it said that the Rangers were to have two home games against Florida and one on the road. That's why I thought SNY just copied what the Florida guy said meaning the New Year's Eve game would be in NYC. But after looking at it again, those two games are for 2014 - 2015.
