He contributed more in 2010 to the Hawks winning the Cup, then he did this year.

It's possible. Even with Meszaros' injury history, the Flyers were engaged in talks about moving Coburn to Edmonton

Unless we got a solid d prospect in return I would not do that. I was happy we didnt end up trading him.

i dont follow you on twitter, i just see retweets from some of the philly writers, check your page, and realize you tweet to everyone under the sun trying to get noticed.

and yes, pointing out that injured players are rarely traded is very relevant to the topic.

- flyershockey

Pointing out injured players rarely get traded isn't relevant. The comment was made that the Flyers are waiting for medical clearance to be able to trade him, when in fact, that isn't required.

There was no comment made about the frequency of trading injured players because the original comment dealt with the legality of trading an injured player, not how often it happens.

Again, thanks for the interest in my twitter activities.

I agree. Assuming he's healthy, Coburn could be a very solid partner for Streit.

Pretty much, we just have to get under the cap for the start of the season, so I honestly have no problem keeping part of mezz salary to make that happen.
- flyers4487

I think they need to move Mez whole salary. That way they will be able to sign Gagne and still be under the cap.

He always was timely in his deliveries of popcorn to Stan Bowman during games

I think he actually scored a fairly big goal in one of the playoff games this year. I can't remember which game it was.

I think Coburn needs a more stable partner. He seemed to play very well with Grossmann. The Flyers may need to mix and match pairings in order to keep Streit out of certain situations.

"Hey, get your picture taken with Dan Carcillo and the Stanley Cup here, only $100".

"Get your pic taken with Dan and the Cup. Only $50".

"Hey everybody, it's Dan Carcillo and the Cup. Ten bucks."

"Everybody, it's your chance to take a picture with...oh forget it Dan, I'm leaving".

Just as a side off, it is possible they are waiting for medical clearence so they can get more for him, or they may have something lined up already once he is cleared. We just don't know.

I'm sure he will do something really dumb with the Cup when he gets it behind closed doors.

I just remember the OT goal vs NJ in 2010, and Tim Saunders screaming "Carcillo! Carcillo! Carcillo!!!"

That and all the funny gifs that OB18 posted with Carcillo's head 'shopped into weird situations

That's very possible. It could be that a team interested in him is unwilling to trade for him until he's cleared.

That would be a relevant counter point.

Nice writeup on Philly.com about Mark Alt, the defenceman I've been clammering about since we traded for him. I still think he has NHL caliber dman potential.
