I'm Jonesing. Exciting NBA draft, anti-climactic yet fun NHL draft, Sixers shakeup, Phils 6.5 out of division, 5.5 WC won 4 series in a row, Penn State lands top wrestlers Nick Nevells(#4 overall) and Chance Marstellar(#1 overall), Flyers sign Streit, Lecav and Emery.

Then just blah, nothing.

You can follow college wrestling recruiting? I didn't know that was possible let alone somebody spent time ranking them.

3 straight national championships. They wrestle a lot different than other teams. Attack, Attack, offense, no stalling. If all teams wrestled this way the sport would be a lot more popular. Love it!

When the national championships came to Philly 3 years ago they sold out the Wells Fargo Center 3 straight days.

They are a national powerhouse and tickets to dual meets at Rec Hall are very difficult to get. Definitely not slumming.

Yep, kinda my point. I had no idea.

I wonder if the Ghoul doesn't make the team as the new Rinaldo, maybe he could wrestle for PSU?

No date yet, but they'll be squaring off at the BJC against #2 Oklahoma State this year.

Yikes. Sorry bro. Not my cup of tea.

I know that Pro 'wrestling' sold out the WFC last night. "Money in Bank". My buddy's 9 yrol son is super into it.

Not that I'm against the wrestling talk, I rather like it, but how slow is the hockey world right now that we're talking about wrestling?

It's even worse than that. There's nothing happening in any sport right now. I have down time and am looking all over and there's nothing. There's cadet and junior nationals in Fargo for wrestling, but not until Wednesday. British open? Need football and hockey camps to open up.

I think it's safe to assume he was very involved.

I think it is safe to say you have no idea and none of us do. Truth is fans are happy because Hexy was a winner and that is about it.

I would go further to say, this is extremely ironic! If Hexy was involved, did we just hire the guy that traded for the players that we traded away that would then win him the stanley cup and make it so we want to give him a job? My head hurts thinking about it.

I don't say this about many Flyers players because I want to keep them all like a basket full of puppies. I was very much a Mike Richards and Jeff Carter fan but I do not care they they're not here anymore. Carter 17 vs. Simmonds 17, I will take Simmonds. Clearly Carter is more of a gifted offensive threat but Simmonds does nothing but excite me. I think he will rival so many past poppular Flyers and surpass them in popularity. I see Rick Tocchet in this kid and he could very well surpass him if Simmonds spends most of his career here.

Simmonds needs to find some semblance of a defensive game before I get too excited

His defense isn't THAT bad. Average to above avg in takeaways and a -4 career +/-. Guy fights for pucks on the boards in both ends and is really good at it IMO.

With Hextall being the assistant GM in LA, you think none of us have any idea if he was involved in player personnel decisions? What was his job, to order lunch for the GM?
