Lets not forget gas mileage.
I guarantee my truck drinks 3-4 times as much gas as your bastard minivan.
Only does so much for sexiness to.
- joel878
About 15 years ago, I had a Honda Civic.
$20 a month in gas.
Ah, memories... |

I think Leafs fans are budgeting far too much for Kadri, Franson and Fraser.
Fraser will get under $1 million on a 1-way contract. I'd go as high as $1.5 million, but Nonis won't.
Franson won't get over $2.5 million.
Kadri will settle in nicely at or below $3 million.
Hell, some guys on here were figuring Colborne was going to get arond $2 million a year.
They are all RFAs. That means they have SFA leverage. - Atomic Wedgie
i agree.. gunnar makes me wonder.. but with fraser i think its more about being a one way deal to which nonis prolly said fine.. 900K so we can bury you if we have to.. fraser prolly wants around 1.1-1.2
gunnar is tough.. he keeps getting top minutes by default.. he's only worth 2.5 tops tho.
franson @ 2.5.. anything more is ludicrous for him at this point
kadri @ 3 tops as well.
thats 9 million. more than enough room
doesnt leave a whole lot for maneuvering throughout the season tho

Once Liles gets run over by a minivan, we will have plenty of cap room. |

The wife's g5 takes about 80 bucks a month.
My ram takes about 80 bucks a week.
Granted, I go through more miles, but still.
It's a 2012 to, allegedly better on fuel. 18 l/100 km in the city says otherwise.
Oh, and allegedly we have cheap gas in southern Alberta.

I can see Franson in the 3.5-4 range to be honest. He wants to get paid, he did for his last contract but had no leverage, now he has his point production. |

Hey, ho, let's slow down.
Minivans are awesome.
You sit high on the road.
Plenty of room for you to throw your hockey gear in the back.
And the total lack of sexiness means that it is priced at a low, low rate.
Think about it: it dominated the market for years, yet Ford and GM stopped making them, because they couldn't make any money from them.

16 cup holders, baby! - Atomic Wedgie
Although I do not like minivans and dont own one.... having two kids, I secretly want one!
So freakin practical.
For any guy who cant see that.....time to hand in your man card!

He put up points, but he was still a 3rd pairing guy.
He's an RFA.
And you are smoking crack if you think he's going to have a bigger cap hit than PK Subban. |

He's fantastic on the PP.
In 5 on 5, he spent the vast majority of time paired with Fraser on the 3rd pairing.
That was for a reason. |
