I've always wondered why they don't... Is hockey the only Olympic sport where you can't have multiple entries? - DrChristianTroy

I'd imagine basketball would be in the same boat although I don't know for sure.... |

He still gets paid and by then he'll be done living in the fish bowl.
If he's bought out he doesn't get all the money, so why wouldn't he just sit off work with a "bad back" and collect a full paycheque? - IanEsplen
Who says he won't still want to play? Also, you can't fake an injury, there has to be proof constantly that he is hurt throughout the whole term. He also can't be bought out beyond next summer. Come on Ian, you're reaching here and saying some pretty goofy things. |

I'm saying u can't call this blog an embarrassment when you got blogs like that and bloggers like garf and clouts - Bieksa#3
Us Flyers fans have it pretty good in the blogger department. On the downside Meltzer comment section isn't nearly as much fun. |

Id rather be trapped in a room with Garrioch and Garrett than those two idiots. They actually make me feel bad for Leafs fans. - TheTaoOfSemenko
Cox is an arrogant moron. But Simmons is so much worse. Honestly you have to wonder if he has ever watched sports. |

He should just let Cloutier write a rider for the top and bottom of his blogs. Something like:
"I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Read outperformed Phil Kessel this year" or
"Edmonton would have to shell out Yakupov and Petry if they wanted a world-class player like Couturier."
That would get the ire up. |

No kidding
However to be honest, I'm not sure who was worse during the lockout. MJL and his Fehr is the lord of the masses or the combo of laughs and iggysBff and the we want to blow bettman agenda |

A word of caution: Don't get too high on Ericksson until he's had a chance to play in the NHL. We had the "goalie of the future" and "best player not in the NHL" in Jonas Gustavsson... we all know how that worked out.
He may turn into a bonafide NHL goalie, but don't bank on it just yet... - lumlums
All stats/records below the NHL level need to be taken with a grain of salt, but it doesn't mean they're worthless.
Slightly different situation than Gustavsson, who was undrafted and had his breakout year in the SEL as a 24 year old.
Ericksson was the 2nd ranked Euro goalie in his draft year, was drafted, and according to Bill Melzer, the Flyers tried hard to sign him.
Still could be a bust, but it's a different situation.
I've watched Lack play quite a bit, and he's who I'm higher on, even more so than Schneider at the same stage, and I've maintained that stance for a few years. All depends how he's recovered.
Cannata has shown very well since being drafted, as well—Hobey Baker finalist his last year with Merrimack. |

Hahaha good god you can't be serious? The leafs 3rd goalie is better than your 2nd. I'm not going through the rest of the teams. That would literally take all day.
And if the Leafs goaltending situation is better than yours... Oh man you know you're in trouble. Flyers level trouble. - SameOld

Sorry, the point was in reference to making Luongo go away with no cap hit. You're right he can be bought any summer but only until next season without the cap hit. |

All joking aside if the canucks wanted to take the LTIR route, they need not say anymore then "concussion" No doc on the planet will challange that given how cautious they are about those situations. |

Yep, and if by chance he's wrong even the smallest one. He no longer has a license. Like I said, no doc will touch it. |

Ya insurance companies give away millions of dollars all the time without challenging the validity of the case. Such an altruistic bunch they are. |

Wrong in what sense? Saying there's no evidence to support the LTIR claim after conducting independent tests? Insurance fraud is a stupid way to go about circumventing the cap. |
