I find announcers from both sides of the border to be good on the whole. I prefer announcers who don't rely on gimmicks, I hate the Turd goal at turd-teen tirty tree of the turd and the resulting giggle-fest or Joe Bowen in Toronto with his HOLY MAKINAWs.

He's training with the finninsh U-21 team. And wanted to cut down on travel so he isn't at prospect camp. He's gonna spend the year overseas. No rush with him....

Clutterbuck was an RFA with no leverage, Bickell would have been scooped up quickly as a UFA. I'm with you I hope he can maintain the level we saw this year when he was playing for a contract.

Philip Danault has what Jonathan Toews and Marcus Kruger have. A heart the size of the building and a desire to win and be great.

I think Danault's chances of making the team rest on how well he does on draws and killing penalties against NHL competition. If he can do either or both at an acceptable NHL level, he could make the hawks.

He's worth every penny of his contract if he can get 25 goals in the regular season and bring up the level of his game in the playoffs as he did this year.

25 goals would be great great, but it just reminds me when 20 busted out with a 40 something goal season, then 50. But 80's hockey was such a diff game.
