On the other hand, if the Hawks don't win the best team award, that's a disgrace. It'll probably go to the Heat though. - eburgio
Wasn't it ESPN that aired "The Decision?"
If they're willing to give (frank)ing LeBron a whole block of time so he can make a decision on where to sign, you can almost bet the Heat win the best team award.
ESPN is so about their own pet products it's sickening. |

With the addition of Ferrence and now Perron, the Oil should be a very competitive team considering all of the young talent already there. Dubby looked like he was maturing into a respectable NHL goaltender last year. |

Makes you wonder if he does stuff like this on purpose in order to stay in the news and gain exposure.

it seems like every year I expect either Colorado, St Louis or Edmonton to take the next step. With all the young kids and early draft picks on these teams I am waiting for one of them to be the next version of the 2010 Hawks. |

No joke. Perron may actually look slow on that team. I always liked Perron, and for his sake I hope he can stay healthy all season long. |

I think ESPN would put PK on that list before JT, he did win the Conn Smythe... - Fistafury17

is it any surprise this moron founds bieber to be a hero? heroes come pretty cheap these days... or maybe he is trying to poke the bear after his entire blog picked bruins to win final. - Sconnie
He's still crying bitter tears because his team lost. I bet those tears taste like a finely aged wine (sour grapes).

meanwhile, look at this BS...
Who should win Best NHL Player at The ESPYS?
Sidney Crosby
Henrik Lundqvist
Alexander Ovechkin
Martin St. Louis
John Tavares
I wonder if they're even aware that Lundqvist didn't win the Vezina. #eastcoastjoke - Sconnie
I thought we settled this yesterday... Victor Stalberg! |

Same as Vince Vaughn sitting on the glass at the Hawks game only to be in the Kings locker room during the playoffs last year. - waitforawhistle

>Quick review of today's scrimmage
>Danault looked very good -- protects puck well, took it to the net at every opportunity, won nearly every faceoff, clearly loves playing the game of hockey
>Hayden, at 18, stood out quite a bit -- good size, skates well, puck follows him, scored two completely different types of goals -- got himself open for all types of passes -- was open for breakaways that teammates couldn't get him the puck
>O'Brien -- stood out the most of the invitees -- great speed and quickness, created two "partial" breakaways right from faceoffs in his own end, smart, but tips scales at 170lbs
>Dahlstrom, at 18, very calm and smart in his own end -- good size, skater, and passer -- has potential to be a solid Dman
>Holl -- great speed and good size -- might be better suited to be a power forward -- needs to learn how to use his teammates better -- but clearly a talent
>Fournier -- appeared to fill out a bit, skates well, plays with his head up with the puck
>Johns -- made some big hits, skates very well for his size, would like to see him unload a booming slapshot from the point
>McNeill -- has all the tools -- speed, hands, didn't look that big in person, reads well, passes well -- not sure wing is where he should be -- turned down several opportunities to try to beat a Dman 1-on-1 and take it to the net -- vs Danault who did so at every opportunity
>Ross and Calnan -- had some good chemistry together and some solid shifts -- puck follows Calnan

I didn't search to see if this has been posted, but rightfully so there has been backlash over Bieber stepping on the logo in the locker room. Shame on Hawk's brass for telling fans to get over it.

Yes, shame on Hawk brass for (a) letting it happen, and (b) telling Hawk fans to get over it. Not good public relations.
I'm torn between thinking this is the worst thing that's ever happened and thinking how stupid of us to care that much.
I'm leaning toward the latter.
Much more concerned about (a) getting Krugman signed, (b) getting all the injuries healed, (c) replacing Frolik on the PK, and (c) who will be the 2C. |

Peter Hassen is a tool!We need Biebers fans for the future? When his fans are old enough to know better they will no longer be Bieber fans,I could care less if they ever are Hawk fans. |

If the worst thing in your life is Justin Beiber walking on a carpet, you have no problems. lol
Beiber is a _____ but I'm not going to spend any time thinking about that or being upset.

Haven't posted since the 'Hawks won the Cup--been a great few weeks since . . . . That's been the best thing about "free-agent frenzy"--knowing that they don't need to be all that involved . . . .
Anyway, it strikes me that everyone on this blog and every fan who has ever stepped foot in Chicago Stadium or the United Center should be invited into the locker room before that p u s s y. |
