What do you guys think of this: Don't resign Zid, trade Volchenkov for whatever you can get and wait for the Blues to blow their load on AP then make a trade for Bowmester cause they will have to clear space to resign Stewart and with what 1 year left on his deal and them being in a situation he could come a lot cheaper then ever before. Lou has been linked to wanting him in the past and he is a silky smooth skater with a much greater offensive ability then Greene or Zid. Add him to the signings we aready made and our pp and offense should greatly improve thoughts ?

Would look nice next to Salvador. A VERY steady pairing. This leaves us with Fayne-Gelinas/Urbom/Harrold tho.. potentially good.. if the rookie can hold it down. Would be a true 3rd pairing, but not a horrible one.

It'll never happen, but I'd take that salary for just 1 year. I'm hoping Volchenkov has a bounce-back year, but that's like asking for a time machine for christmas.

Blues plan on keeping Jaybo. They would rather keep him and dump Stewart for whatever than boot Jaybo after giving up assets to acquire him. They are also really fond of his playing style on their team.

When he's on his game he's a monster, but I feel like he's one of those guys who takes nights off here and there. Speaking of fat guys with motivation issues, I was actually thinking Dustin Penner wouldn't be the worst guy to give a contract to if we had one more roster spot open. No more room unfortunately though.

I still maintain we don't need more forwards unless the opportunity to get someone elite comes along.
