I just noticed on the Steel website that they have a kid named Tyler Hill, an 1995 birthdate, who is 6'6 and 225 lbs. Wiz, Ty, JJ, do you have a scouting report on this kid yet? Is it too soon to tell what type of player he will be? I might have to check out a few games and see him play.

Any word yet on the coaching staff up in Rockford?

Edit: My bad

Out of the guys with very little pro experience, then yes. I'm thinking that the Hawks start the season with Morin and Hayes in Chicago to start.

Maybe, they might a free agent or two on the cheap....there might be room for two rookies if a free agent isn't added.

For what its worth, I have a feeling Carcillo is sticking around. With Cooke and Lapierre in the division, the Hawks need their own douche like forward to throw at the both of them.

On the ice he is not much of an impact for a 7th dman....but more of an impact with his contract if they want to bring in an FA.

Can you imagine that line to play against? The Thornton slash on Bolland will look like he was mildly upset compared to other guy's reactions

Yep, now is deffo NOT the time to get SOFTER. Hope Car Bomb stays and sees plenty of action against idiots like Cooke and Lapierre.

Crosby Schmosby....when Sid ran into Hurricane Chara, he wilted, whined and moaned like a little p ussy....when Toews ran into the same hurricane...HE DROVE RIGHT PHUCK'N THROUGH IT.

I prefaced it by saying two years ago. Now? No way

Schultz played one year in Juniors before entering college. A club retains rights for only two years if a draftee plays in Juniors.

Unless the new CBA changes draft rights retroactively, the Hawks retain Johns' rights for six years.

Well that would be preferred. I was just passing on to others what I read at Mark Lazerus' twitter page. Otherwise, I've been very curious what the exact rules are in this case.

I wish someone would just ask Johns straight. Do you plan to sign an entry level deal with the Blackhawks when your NCAA eligibility is over?

Johns always mentions his commitment to the Irish, but I've yet to here him discuss him commitment to the professional organization that drafted him.

I think you may be over thinking it.....the fact that he is at prospect camp is a good sign.

Of course I'm over thinking it...it's what I do.

But I did mention in an earlier post that Johns appearance is a good indication of his long term interest in signing with the Hawks.

Just wish he would be a bit more public about his long term plans...and I simply would like to see him commit to the pro game now. He's physically ready and it's time for him to start playing with peers and full grown men, all of whom are fighting for a shot in the show, not continue playing with college boys fighting for a shot in frozen 4.

I guess I do admire his passion for fulfilling his commitment to ND, but there's always the chance of an injury which would set him back.

Besides, he can finish his degree anytime in the future when his bank account is flush with Rocky's money.

So a bit off topic and I may cop some abuse.
But is anyone interested in doing a fantasy football?
I did it for the first time last year and enjoyed it, although I know next to nothing.

I heard him in an interview on NHL network radio and he spoke at length of the Hawks and how they were emphasizing things he needs to work on. I didn't get the impression he didn't want to come to the Hawks but you never know.

26 games on the PS3? I agree that it felt like he played fewer than 10.
