I'd like to see them take a FA flyer on a guy like Det's Damian Brunner.


Here's a speedy, crafty, skill guy with top 6 upside who could look at the Buffalo rebuild as an opportunity to log some serious ice time in attempt to really establish himself in the NHL.


Last yr, in his first NHL season, Brunner tallied 26 points in 44 games. You can mix this guy into your top 9 right now, and down the road he could easily blossom into a 20-25g scorer.


Well, at least he has more upside than Gerbe anyway. But these are the "diamond in the rough" types that Darcy should be looking for. Not 34 yr old d-man...
