It's a great move to help Myers but, it's not a great move if you are rebuilding and the kids can't play. I thought the Sabres could have signed 1 maybe 2 guys on Friday but they didn't because they wanted the kids to play. It works both ways, if anything we should have added a player or two on Friday, not any of the "huge" names out there just a couple that could help on the wing or center.

Honestly I dont think hank gets handed a spot....I am sure he will have to work for it too and if someone outplays him he gets yanked.....it is a different coach. He is not going to play favorites and keep hammering in the round peg into the square hole like Ruff.

instead of looking forward to find a solution they are looking back.. that to me is a head scratcher

If we shed the 6.25 + 7.14 + 4m like we supposedly doing this summer... a 1 yr deal at 3.7 for hank is no big deal.. it juat geta us to tue floor, is a familiar face, and might be able to help myers along the way...

If Hank can't help Myers, how the hell can you trade him? I can't understand why Myers is "lost" hopefully things turn around but if they don't, Darcy will have to admit a mistake and trade him.

I agree with you. The problem is fans are hurt and upset. It is a good move with nothing to lose. Unntil Hank becomes a liability on the ice then the only reason to get upset is you are jaded.

Forget about all this babysitting / mentoring crap for a minute. People seem to be forgetting a huge issue : Tallinder SUCKS ! He's was horrible before he went to the Devils and he was bad while he was there. I want to see how happy people are when he's costing us goal after goal. I think the room is split too which drives the frustration with acquiring hank... some ppl here see it as another quicj band aid and taking away ice time from our youth to grow... other ppl see our youth as needing a year in the ahl together so adding a guy like hank for one year is no bid deal.

i don't really care all that much about it.. I just felt like they should have gotten more because of his horrendous contract. we gave the NJD a get out of jail free card, you would think we could talk them into a 4th round pick as well

Tallinder is a bum and has no business being here after what the Sabres are trying to do, he is here to babysit a guy not a kid making 5.5 million dollars a year. Sad if you ask me.

They should have tried bringing in a Winger or a Center, not more D men we don't need. Sad they are doing this to help Myers.
