It's all about perception. Myers' best year was with tallinder. And when the sabres kept trying to upgrade their D post ownership change and he kept getting worse, the only thing left to analyze was the loss of Tallinder. Not personally saying that's why he got worse, just that it's what everyone wanted to believe.

What good is a defensemen who is huge (BIG) but skates around with a purse on the ice? He will never play mean or tough like Chara or Pronger. Darcy always brings in the softest guys, no grit. Kalinin part 2 with possible better even strength scoring. Pp Myers is too slow to shoot and move puck

Is it not too much to ask that your $5 million a year defenseman can play with more than just one NHL defenseman?? Tallinder won't be around forever

To me its a precursor to another trade too many D and the sabres want to let a lot of these young kids play. Ruhwedel,McNabb and Ristolainen are NHL d-men something else is coming.

I agree Homer def has inside info but I haven't seen him call a trade in advance with the actual names involved.

To be fair, I can't imagine that most trades (especially the minor ones like this one) sit for a day or two. Homer obviously has/had a source.
