I don't think it's true. The guys from Carolina already confirmed that if the Canes hadn't traded their 8th overall pick in the deal for Staal, they would have taken Grigs.

Jagr DOES only go for the paychecks. that's why he went to the stars. he knew he would be traded at the deadline to a contender anyways. without sounding too pathetic but if Jagr was a sabre for oct-march, I would absolutely buy a jagr sabres jersey. he's one of my all-time favs.

I would love Jagr/oshie amd still keeping miller! it would make it easier to trade miller for a 1st round pick later!

There is no way on Earth Jagr is signing here. For one I think the guy is totally useless. If he couldn't produce on Boston in 4 rounds of playoffs then he cat help one single team in the NHL. Second I had a source about 6 years ago that said Jagr literally hates the city of Buffalo. Third, it's just not Buffalos style.
