Agreed. As it stands right now, Ehrhoff, Myers and Weber are in the lineup opening day. The other 3 spots and 7th D are up for grabs.

I honestly think Hank was brought back for Rasmus not Myers. Tpegs said he wanted ard workers on his team. It's well known Myers did not come into last seaon in shape. I believe 57 will be traded soon.

Hank will then mentor Ristolanen as he did 4 years ago for Myers.

Great move either way. Hank will provide a calming influence on the bluelie this year.

As i said he gets burned by AHL'ers. You will find out soon enough.

I don't disagree. McBain is a hit or miss. McBain could resurrect his carrer here and could possibly be a good second pairing guy, or just disappear.

If i'm Sakic and Roy I do it. We both win. You guys get a 27 y/o who can still put up 75 pts under the right circumstances.

We get a goalie upgrade, though then we'd have 3. Soo.. we'd have to find a spot for Varly in the trade i'd imagine.

Reason I say Miller/Errorhoff for Staz/Varly+ is we each get what we need. We get a vet. D and upgrade in goal. The Avs CAN win with the roster we have now up front.. we need defense. This trade kills 2 birds in one shot for the Avs.

Buffalo gets a talented goalie in his own right in Varly, who is still under 25 and has been great for us, but I doubt Roy is satisfied there.

It all makes enough sense to me. Miller is up next year as is Staz.

The rest is basically a wash if they want in a couple years.

Why Pysyk lol? One year in the AHL isn't a bad idea plus with injuries I'm sure he will find himself playing the 2nd half of the year. He is very young and showed good promise. No need to ship him off unless its for a good offensive asset.
