why was he such a terrible coach? He was a Jack Adams finalist 2 years ago. Did he get dumb over night?

You guys may be fun to watch, but you're Edmonton. Good young forwards, no defense or goaltending. You won't win that way.

I can at least respect the fact that our goaltending and defense will be relatively set by the time darcy gets the forwards we need again. it really is going to be 2-3-4 seasons of suffereing ahead. We, hopefully if they draft and develop the right guys, have potential to be good because unlike most teams, we're not leaving goaltending and defense to last on our rebuild as our rookies get torched. we'll just let our young defensemen learn what it's like to lose 2-1, 3-1/0 games for a long while. at least they'll learn to keep it close until scoring wise.

honestly it's not that much different from the years we barely got into the playoffs and our scoring was in-ept. only difference is we literally won't have the talent to compete whereas before we thought that the players didn't meet their potential.

...no. Ovi scored most of his goals on the PP, and Backstrom, Brouwer and others got going along with Ovi. Ovi did nothing different in the first couple weeks than in the last few, his shots were just going in more.

apparently he was "pretty good" in the world champions on enroths' team.

I think it's a good thing, if mcnabb gets traded we get a "good to kind of great" player in a trade package and if pysyk gets traded i think we can haul a "very good to pretty great" player. i'm assuming ennis would probably be the forward we dangle.
