One potential rental year for vanek and a solid, but unspectacular top 3 Dman for Duchesne? I'll take the number 1 center thank you. - GilPerreault11
I guess I'd have to watch him more, I've probably seen 2 Avs games in 3 years.

you dont need all those centers, so I wouldnt just say they arent moving. - Homer
Roy already said RoR is playing on the 1st line with Duchene and PAP.
RoR-Duchene-PAP
Landeskog-Statsny-Tanguay
McGinn-MacKinnon-Downie
someone else goes here
We're set in our top 9. RoR is 22 for cryin' out loud and is a superstar in the making along with a couple other kids here.
We aren't trading anyone except Statsny i'd have to think. He's 27 and can still play. Duchene moving would gut this teams fanbase to say the least. |

That all makes sense
I think the only ppl that take the stuff on here seriously are "Sabres Front Office" and "hockey insiderrr" since they tweet everything we talk about & say they got it from a source....

Duchesne is hit or miss, I'm not sure if he becomes a perennial 80 point guy or one that hangs in the 50s. Not sure what I would trade for him but with the log jam at C that Denver has, probably fair value. - BigStew
Wat? He put up 43 pts last year and so did PAP, in a year where Downie missed all of it, Landeskog missed lots of it, and RoR missed half of it ish as well.
Our coach stunk and they still lit it up. You're out of your mind. He is a stud.
He's gonna light it up this season. Him and MacKinnon are both training with that douche Crosby. But he's a good hockey player, lol.

Yes, actually it is true. He has a clause in his contract. As DD said, it doesn't kick in until after he's 26. |

What are you guys going to do on defence? Only way to get good ones is to trade away good ones. Not saying anyone on Buffalo is a fit but you seem to have a depth of talent up from and nothing on the back end. |

I said I haven't seen many Avs games, maybe he's God, maybe not. I guess I will have to watch a few more games to see.

Ehrhoff+Vanek for Duchene - sbroads24
Hmmmm....
How about Miller & Ehrhoff?
I like Duschesne a lot... Also O'reilly, but I know he can't be traded till March...
Wonder if the new CBA let's teams do a "player to be named later" like in baseball?
Don't want any part of Stastny
I like Siemens, but we're pretty good at defense
McGinn could be a nice guy to snag if both sides are adding more parts
If we're truly rebuilding though,
Unless its a good young player, or TOP prospect, our first priority in trades should be to get as many 1st round picks as possible in the next two drafts |

Because Duchene grew up an Avs fan? Because there were pictures of him as a 12 y/o with Avs stuff all over his walls? Because he did a fist pump when the Avs took him that year? Because he grew up idolizing Joe Sakic and Patrick Roy??
Hmm.. can't think of anything, really. Being the first building block towards our rebuild which is about done isn't anything, either.
Or like, being the best player on the team last season by a friggin' country mile alongside PAP. Hmm.
Trust me, it would gut the fan base. He is like the 2nd coming of Sakic.. or was supposed to be. So far nobody is disappointed. |

I don't mind picking up veterans on 1 year deals when we have the cap room. It's what Dallas did last year and they sucked. If Tallinder stays healthy or god forbid we sign Kaberle and he stays healthy and they have good seasons we can flip'em at the deadline. |
