So cool, tell us what you would have done to retool the team this offseason. You keep avoiding that even though a few different people have asked you.

Ya French media will take it as him saying C for Canadiens, and hinting towards their beloved one-sided trade going down
- JAKEw1234

That rumor about the Flyers trading him, Talbot & Coburn for Plekanec, Moen and Beaulieu is still floating around

Ill give you this, he's ovechkin good, will put up nice numbers against average teams disappear when he's needed. See last year's playoffs.
- JoeRussomanno

55 points in 50 playoffs games clearly indicates he disappears when he is needed.
The Devils got to game 7 of the finals, you can't really call them an average team that year.

Seems like the Flyers would get ripped off on that deal, but I don't know the Candaian players enough. Thoughts?

Any reason the Flyers and G don't go:
12.5-10-9.5-7-6.25-6.25-6.25-6.25=64.

Not a big difference, but this type of G contract helps both sides.

- jstross

Would that be compliant with the new rules under the CBA?

Makes no sense for the Flyers trading for Plekanec, unless there's a secondary move.

The Talbot & Coburn for Moen and Beaulieu part makes sense, but not the Simmonds for Plekanec angle to it, from the Flyers stand point.

Simmonds for the next 6 years at less than 4 mil. We better not trade him for anything short of few elite dmen

Bealieu has top pairing potential, but he's still quite a few years off from that.

The trade doesnt even make any sense for the Flyers unless it was for Coburn for Beaulieu who I know nothing about I add.

Simmonds > Plekanec = not a top 6 on this team
Talbot > = Moen and Plekanec. Cap, leadership, and need wise

Could see the Flyers do it, and then flip Plekanec. Only way it makes any sense, really.

I'd like to get Beaulieu. He's talented kid.

Talbot and Moen sort of cancel out but Flyers move Coburn for a young PMD and free up cap space.

Pacioretty makes more sense than plekanec as the Flyers could use another LW. I think the Habs would still have to add as Coburn is worth more than just Beaulieu.

Nah Talbot has the leadership and personality value that I don't think Moen brings. Everyone knows Talbot, but not nearly so many know Moen.

What happened against the devils again? Oh yea we got bounced and he was suspended for the last game. The average team was the round before

Moen's scored a cup winning goal himself. He's bigger and more physical than Max, very solid third liner, but not as versatile

I agree, I'd rather have Talbot but in terms of on-ice role and cap they are similar. However, I'd take the trade off for another young D-man in the system.

He does, but I'm just relaying the rumor that's been making the rounds. No mention of Pacioretty in it.
