"Got that in your head, Brooksie?"
I was thinking the waivers route. Bury the guy in the AHL if needed. - Orpik44
I don't think you can bury someone in the AHL anymore.

Why was there hesitation to sign Adams? 2 year deal at 700k per year isn't too shabby. |

They were waiting for other guys to answer their inquiries. I'm pretty sure Shero left that in the air. |

Don't like the third line... Ok with everywhere else
I'm just not sold on Sutter...I guess he's best option realistically
And Jeffrey just doesn't gel in that spot |

I agree, 3rd line isn't what i'd like, im just basing it off the roster right now.
the 3rd line has no identity. it really hasn't for years now. looking around the league, some 3rd lines have big guys, some have speedy guys, some have defensive guys.
penguins have none of that. there's no point in having a defensive line if bylsma isn't going to use it against the other team's top line. we cant get the size to have a big line. I think our 4th line has enough speed.
problem with sutter is that he doesn't pose as much as an offensive threat as staal did. when Crosby and malkin got shut down, you could count on staal to produce. you cant do that with sutter. |

Iggy to Boston lmfao. Could have spared us this last year. Hope he slows them down too.
Actually, I think he gets played the way he is supposed to with Boston. Good fit for them.
Hopefully we can end his year the way it happened for Hossa in 2009. Although I think he's done alright since. |

good for both cookie and iggy. iggy didn't work out the way we wanted, but I still love the guy and have a great amount of respect for the way he plays the game.
anyone warming up to the idea of morrow coming back if it is for the right price...?
i just think his leadership qualities would show over a whole season instead of half of one.
it would probably have to be under 2 million for 1 year.... and considering TIOPS said that some in the organization think Glass could take over for Cooke... well, i'd take morrow. |

Shero has signed a couple of clunkers in his day, but Glass is pretty close to the top. He's just not a good player.

That first press conference with Iginla will be interesting. Too bad they couldn't have won the Cup for him. That night when the Penguins got him was entertaining and crazy. I'll always like the guy just not when the Pens play the Bruins. lol
Cooke will be missed. I never thought he would change his game. After the elbow against the Rangers I had enough of him. I wanted him gone. Yet he came back and reformed himself despite what uninformed people thought and still was a productive player. The Pens couldn't afford that deal so all the best to him in Minny. |
|
|
|
If only the pens could dump nisk and glass. I personally don't want to see Dumoulin spend most of his time as a healthy scratch. The kid needs to get some consistent playing time. |
