@RenLavoieRDS Roberto Luongo is still looking at his options. We don't know yet if he'll accept to go back to Vancouver. #RDS

Now every trade proposal will include Booth and Higgins - 1970vintage
I like Higgins! And yes I can see Booth taking over in Raymond's trade spot lol

Clarkson is worth $4 million in my opinion and Bozak nothing more than $3million.
This is the problem with some Leaf fans. They made the playoffs yes, but that was in a shortened season. So its like lets get all these top end guys and we will win the cup!
Christ you haven't made the playoffs in an 82 game season in 10 years!!! They are still a couple years away of seriously competing and paying Clarkson $6 million and Bozak $5 million is not going to help. - TML93
They could afford Clarkson at $6 mil but on a short deal, say 3 years. Still need a top line C, but maybe they can make a trade, or perhaps Kadri can step up. Bozak for 8 years |

Pretty sure Edler has already taken over Raymond and Ballard's role. |

especially since the team that signed him to that signed elias to an awful contract the day before and is in huge financial trouble. Silly stuff. I'll take the Isles moves, minor deals but all 1 year. - Isles_since_6
Henrique is an RFA after 13/14, and Schneider a UFA after 14/15, also.
Might have some issues in the future depending on what happens with the cap...
EDIT: Henrique is an RFA now. |

Hmmm, I wonder what options he has? Report and get paid, or don't report and don't get paid? - 1970vintage
He'll retire and play poker for a living |

I wonder if Roberto would pull a Tim Thomas, "I've decided to take a year off and get my life in perspective"??? |
|
|
|
Unfortunately he really doesn't have options. - docmorgan
Sure he does. He either plays or refuses to come to camp which will result in his contract being terminated and he'll sign somewhere else next year. |

Other than faceoffs and being Kessels BFF, Bozak is useless! He is a 1C by default and playing with Kessel Full Time he still can't get 50 points. |

I'm not so sure that is actually a possibility. I don't think teams and players can simply void a contract. |

Totally agree, I was laughing at Bozak, not you or the Leafs. |

They can mutually agree to terminate it, but Luongo can't force the Canucks to rip up his contract. If he fails to report, he doesn't get paid. |

That'd be ok really, let the club realize they are ok without him. |

Only one guy is to blame. Yes, it has effected the whole franchise, but how this clown is still running the show is beyond me. |

Um no, you don't terminate a contract because someone doesn't show up for work. He's suspended without pay. |

Unfortunately his cap hit would still count. In which case you might as well have him play... |

If he doesn't report you suspend him without pay, cap hit aside, we'd still be ok. |
