what are you talking about? mason is totally a legit starting goalie. those 7 good games he played in philly at the end of last year COMPLETELY make up for the previous 4 seasons of complete mediocrity. and besides, we know that he'll have an all-star d corps in front of him to help him out.

Islanders don't have anything in the cupboard that Buffalo would want unless it starts with Tavares or their recent 1st round picks last year and this year....and that would be a major move of multi players

Miller, Stafford, Gerbe for Luongo, Gaunce, Booth and Edler.
This makes the most sense to me.

This may be the only kind of deal that matches money for money....and Vancouver would have to look at it very closely because the Luongo contract will still be there for them to deal with next year and with no goalie...where as Buffalo could do the compliance buyout on Loungo next year if he does not do well and Garret and Enroth send him to the showers.

If anything is going to happen it would have to happen today because of the complaince buyout stuff. The fact that Gerbe is on waivers and Buffalo was not palnning to do a buyout bumps this possibility up.

Also heard Luke Adam for Devin Seteguchi......Buffalo would take on salary for Minnesota
