Guess you don't know much about the team which is fine? You definitely have no idea of what we have on the team or what we have coming up? You are correct about waiver wire pick ups but Snow will have freedom to spend when Ratner takes over operations when we move to Brooklyn. The talent that we already have which is considerable believe it or not both NHL ready and otherwise and add just a couple legit NHL FA's and we are a competitior in anyones eyes. I literally mean a couple too. One top four and a legit NHL starter. If you don't know this then you haven't been paying attention which is understandable being a fan of another team but I do think a lot of teams and their fans took notice during the PO's last season? - Cptmjl
Agreed. Once the isles get a steady revenue stream from the relocation they're gonna be one scary team.
I like the isles too.. Def top 3 of my fav teams nowadays. After snow got over his rookie GM mistakes (dipietro) he has done an insanely incredible job making the isles a competitive team (by which i mean theyre not dwelling in the basement any longer). It hasn't been easy, but he's found a way.
I just hope that when he does get money to work with, he doesn't make the same mistakes as other GMs with new found money |

I'm actually not the biggest Snow fan but DiPietro was not Snow's fault. Wang proved what most suspected by stating so in an interview. That was 100% Wang. The guy had a huge man crush on DP. For all of Snow's faults he has done a pretty good job with what he has to work with. This season and especially next season will give us a better idea of what kind of GM he really is. |

100% Charles Wang. In fact Wang just stated as such in a recent NY Times article. |

There is a link to a NY times article in our blog today where Wang takes full responsibility for DP's contract which was long rumored. |

Seems to have a hard time doing so but that's ok. When you're a hater it's hard not to hate even when you know you're wrong. |

For what? He's a UFA after next year. I'm not burning down the farm system to get him, sorry. MAYBE for Lundqvist (I realize he's not available, but he's in a similar situation, for comparison purposes), and even that I'd have to think about. For a guy we might only have for one year, who doesn't guarantee us anything as far as winning, I'm not trading anything significant. |

Oh, I hope so.....then we can spend $9M a year on a 70 year old defenseman when we're already $15M over the cap, like the team that plays its home games in eastern Pennsylvania.....we need a defenseman....someone go and dig up Eddie Shore...I need to talk to him.... |
