Flyers have some of the best scouts in the league. As much as I dont like this pick, you have to trust their judgement.

unproven in their ability to draft anything but forwards...

Solid picks by Buffalo

With Myers, Ristolainen and Zadorov they could have a monster D core for years.

Big, strong and some offensive talent.

All I know is Ryan Pulock reminds me of PK Subban with less speed. How could you pass up on that skillset on the back end for a reach in a 6'6 scrapper?

No. Devils had a need at G. They got an NHL caliber starting goalie who is going to be very good. #9 pick didn't have anyone there at that level.

Complete steal.

- stveshdy

the devils get brodeur #2 and the isledanders get who we should have drafted it's an embarasment to the organization

Ristolainen and Zadorov.

Sabres will have a mean back end.

- flyer_nutter

PK Subban is huge with unbelievable skating ability. Pulock is 6' with average skating. Maybe below average for a player his size.

Maybe because they see something in Morin that reminds them of Chara and Pronger..

It's too early to say for a project dman which any out side of Jones, Ritso and Nurse are.

Whats the point in picking Morin when Zadorav is the exact type of player who is nhl ready

don't forget Derian Hatcher''s involvement
- JoeRussomanno

Exactly -- you know what? Here's where I am with this:

I get sick of seeing guys like Rick Nash and Evgeni Malkin overpower guys like Matt Carle when they go to the net. It makes me want to throw up.

I understand that you can't have six guys like Derian Hatcher on the back end. That doesn't work.

But if the Flyers' defense of tomorrow has Shayne Goestibehere and Samuel Morin as a pairing, I won't be crying. Because that will mean they developed as they could, and you'll need somebody to do that dirty work -- they can't all be 6-0, 190 pounds.

Gillis made it worse, he had a solid offer from Toronto for Luongo and shot it down...he painted himself in a corner.

They're the exact same size. Both like to throw big hits as well.
