I think what the Sixers are doing... actually rebuilding... is a fantastic idea. Why not? They are in desperate need over an overhaul. They have no true stars, they are chock full of middling talent. Good job by Hinke to realize that there was no future with this core, and attempt to build through the draft.

I do too. I just wish the team could have gotten an unprotected pick from NO

Considering the lack of star talent on the roster, it is a good move. Holliday was their best player and he's not really an all star level talent. He made the ASG, but other guys were unavailable due to injury and he was a late addition.

He seems like his spirits are shot as well. He had some really strange quotes yesterday. Something like "Good, now I will be up for three games and buried in the ground for one"

They weren't going to win with just Holiday, had to be done.

He might get a 5 game try out especially if coburn and mez are gone
- griouxmvp2012

If he somehow makes the team he wouldn't get nearly the amount of ice time as if he played on a lower level to develop his game. I hope he gets at least a year more time lower.

He's still very young. He was drafted at age 19. There is a chance he could become a perennial all star. I still like the move. In the NBA you gotta be really bad to get good unless you live in a desirable city

It's only top 5 protected I think NO will be decent this year so they should have 2 lottery picks. Word is NO is trying to sign iggy

I hope it's not Nabakov. I'm not thrilled with any of the options out there to be honest.

If Emery didn't have the hip issue I would like him the best.

Carter Hutton's available.

I would be shocked if he made the team. At the same time, I hope he makes it a tough decision like Laughton did last year.

I know, but it would suck if NO ends up winning the lottery. The NBA is different. You can win the 1st,2nd or 3rd pick. In the NHL you can only win the 1st.

I don't think he will make the team but a 5 game tryout would be nice for him I think hagg has a better shot at making the team. They say he's too good to play with the younger team in Sweden he was like a point per game player that pretty good for a d man

It's going to be tough to have Mason play 81.5 games

Defenseman rarely make the team in their first season. I see Risto and Jones as the only guys who have a good shot.

He's gotten very little ice time with MODO's top club so far... SHL teams can dress up to 23 players per game, so teens are generally relegated to 5th-line/4th-pairing duty when they first come up.

It would be nice to see him get at least one full year taking a regular shift in the SHL, then see where's he's at. The Flyers finally have a couple of top-flight d prospects... the worst thing they could do right now is botch their development by rushing them.

I'm glad Hagg recognizes that his biggest weakness is his consistency. He sounds like a player who is very teachable, knows he has work to do and wants time to adjust his game.

I didn't hear in that interview that he expects to be up for a few games and sent down though.
