i am as unfamiliar with mcnabb as i am with gambling

McNabb was the Eagles quarterback and was thier first round selection when the draft was in philly. Our fans bood the pick, and McNabb really never forgave them. Darnell Nurse is McNabb's Nephew. Its just Ironic.

that's awesome! I was supposed to go to a BBQ, but I seem to have my priorities in order - 6 pack of Lagunitas Maximus and the AC on, Ipad charged for the baby.

I don't want Nurse. He's supposed to be Coburn 2.0. And all you read a little while ago was how unpolished he was - far from actually playing in the NHL - and yet he seems to be climbing in mock rankings. Baffling. Guess we'll see what happens.

He has tremendous upside. He reminds me of what happened with Koekoekk last year. Different players, but they both got a bump from having great potential.

The NFL draft wasn't held in Philly. Angelo Cataldi bused up a bunch of idiots to New York to cheer for Ricky Williams

I think Raffl has a better shot. He might be a replacement if they trade Read.

Nurse, Risto, Pulock, Zadorov...they all have great potential, and outside of Pulock (who isn't small per se), they all have great size. It just comes down to who lives up to their potential, and who can make a difference sooner rather than later for their team.

I lean toward Risto because he's already playing against men as opposed to playing against other teens...and that's a huge difference in competition.

I heard some guy from central scouting on the radio and he said the reason Nurse was climbing in the rankings was because he showed them something new in his game every time they saw him. He had improved on his weaknesses steadily over the season. He was pretty excited about the player.

I tend towards the IPA's, but the hoppy variations have been calling my name lately. I'll definitely give this one a try.

I agree with you. I think people get too carried away with physical features and think that means that a player has greater potential. I see Risto as a very safe pick, but not a guy who has the potential of a top pairing guy.

Risto is too 'safe' of a pick to take that high, IMO. Like Maatta, I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop, especially with so many dmen w/ greater upside available in that range.

If I didn't win the tickets me and my buddy were going to take a shot every time someone thanked the city of Newark, or congradulated the Blackhawks. Shot and a beer if they do both, and 2 shots if they thanked the City of New Jersey.

If you plan to do this, I would recommend a weak liquor.

No, I think he'll need AHL time first. I have not interviewed him yet but he is supposed to be a really good guy.
