I read MAB recovery is going well. I was a big fan of his game and he shouldn't be out of the mix. Will likely start with the phantoms due to the numbers and him needing to get up to speed. I'm really excited to see if he can get back to his game

If all they can get is a 6th round pick I'd rather they try to ride it out and see what happens. A lot of people thought Mark Howe was toast before he came here.

I hope he gets healthy. I feel bad for the guy. He came back really quick from the torn achilles. That was impressive. I know firsthand what type of rehab that goes with it.

I just think his shoulder is a chronic issue.

Mike Keenan but seriously I'd like to go with some new blood like Dallas Eakins but I think he's taken now anyway
- JoeRussomanno

I keep hearing his name. I don't know much about him as a coach. What exactly has he accomplished?

He played well. At nothing else a good depth guy to have.

Someone mentioned his impressive press conference. Eakins stated the systems they play will vary due to the opponent. I liked that answer. Sounds like chip Kelly on ice. Not that he's done anything. But the guy seems adaptable and that's what I want in my coach. Not someone that lives and dies playing one type of hockey.

ballard clearly didn't fit in VAN. ballard was a physical puck mover in previous stops. streit is clearly a declining asset, but homer's left grasping to make up for past mistakes on d.
- isaiah520

No Holmgren is trying to add players to make the team better. If Pronger didn't suffer a freak injury to end his career, doubtful that Streit is even traded for. But that injury seems to be ignored. Unless you want to blame Holmgren for that. Clearly if either player is declining, it's Ballard. 4.2M for a 15 minute a night player? No thanks. I'm still looking for you to make a case that Ballard is the better value.

He might become a great coach. Who knows. At some point a guy has to get a chance.

I would rather have Laviolette. The fact people were calling for Terry Murray to replace Laviolette was comical.

Terry Murray got fired for way less than what laviolette has done.

Smart decision. Right now Eli is throwing passes to Tom the park ranger at WR.

Murray has been fired everywhere he's been. How did the Phantoms do under Murray's tutelage last year?

About the same as Laviolette did with the Flyers...and most of Murray's good players were called up to Philly during the season.

Oh, and Laviolette resigned form the Isles and Carolina? that's good to know that he's never been fired.

Pretty much every Coach has been fired everywhere he's been. Let's put the Phantoms in context. What was the talent level like on the team? If you're going to assess Murray properly as the Phantoms Coach. It is how did he improve and teach the young players the right way to play. Not by wins and losses.

ballard is getting bought out most likely according to several sources and my evaluation is based on that.
