Ask US. His cat seems to have intimate knowledge of Qs genius. Or is he busy eating his words vis a vis Smith?
- Q...argh

Eating my words on Ben Smith?....... you would be happy to switch him for Hossa......and the short bus continues the route with the lonley Q.......yuck.

All I read about is the Hawks lightning fast transition game and why they would win....so where is it?

Size wins EVERY SINGLE G DAMN TIME. EVERY TIME.

And Boston is pounding the hawks non stop, and you aren't beating an extremely great home team without a PP goal...which the Hawks can't get.

This isn't Detroit. Boston has a TON of skill, and looks pretty g-damn fast to me.

This team wasn't built to beat teams like this, and luckily for them....LA was a mash unit or else they may have not gotten by them....

Agreed. I've been a "Crow is good enough to win" believer, but he has tried his best to keep us in it this series.

I am bummed, but I cannot be angry at the Bruins. They are the better team, especially when in the playoffs.

- teh_HAWKZ

They certainly have been the last 4 1/2 periods.

Q's STUPIDITY/STUBBORNNESS in this series is really IRRITATING.

Why is BICKELL NOT ON THE PHUCK'N PP ?

Horrible on faceoffs. No production on the power play. PK isn't 100%. Giving up odd man rushes. We're not going to win like that.

The only bright side is that it's just one game and if we lose we're just down 2-1. There's still time to bounce back in this series.

There's no reason for us to be at each other's throats.

I think we're all here because we love this club. I am as frustrated as any of you and we all have our pet players we love to ride for their flaws.

And now as I write this, I think we're very close to seeing the legend of Davey Bolland finally put to rest.

Bolland with the nice non-clear on the 1st goal and now taking a great unsportsmanlike penalty. Just what the club needed -- take 2 min so the club can play SH for 2 more.

We are seeing how great Q is -- the great motivator and tactician. Crawford once again the only one showing up to play.

- savvyone-1

This guy has been just horrible for almost the entire playoff. He's had a good game or two along the way, but for the most part has been a detriment. If Q had any balls, Bolland would be done for the night. Turns the puck over which give Boston their first goal, then takes a dumb penalty and then for good measure takes yet another needless, dumb penalty. Just so sick of seeing it. But of course, he's a Q guy so all that stuff gets overlooked.

Unless something drastically changes in game four, I don't see the Hawks having what they need to beat the Bruins in this series. They have no PP - tonight was even more embarrassing than it's been if that's even possible, they are getting creamed at the dot, they are turning the puck over at both ends of the ice, they have nobody going to the net and when they do get a good chance it's either blocked or Rask is there to make the save. Losing game two, especially after that great start, was a real killer and it's turned this series completely around.
- RetiredGoalie

Agreed...

Hawks flaws are killing them, and Bruins winning 5 on 5 and nicking the Hawk PK.

Dooom.

Please tell me how size contributed to either Boston goals tonight?
- rollpards19

They've physically destroyed the hawks. They're in their head. It's not really size but physical play overall.

The Hawks have their second best forward missing, but the Kings were a mash unit we were lucky to play? Be consistent in you're hate at least

If they can enter the offensive zone and setup what difference does it make if Bickell is on the PP. There are bigger issues tonight than Bickell not on the PP.

This is how I felt too. Hawks have been too inconsistent and B's have been resilient as hell.
- HonkyMcD

Their faceoff prowess

Their physicality

Their goaltending

And their coaching....are all >>>>>> than us....SO FAR.

Crawford doesn't get a pass tonite: not very good on the first goal, not in good position.

But he has company: offense is non-existence. Except for one shift, Kane is missing. Handzus 0-10 on face-offs. Toews line - no sustained offense.

- StLBravesFan

I hope Toews is hurt, because at least it might explain why he's playing like crap. Not moving his feet, coasting and waving his stick a lot in the D zone, and generally a non factor in the offensive zone.

But what goals did it cause, not intangible intimidation which probably doesn't exist. NHL players know how to take hits. They scored because of PP skill and Bolland being soft as phuck on his stick with Crow off his angle

Leddy especially. Offensively he's fine, but when he has the pick in the defensive zone I cringe.

Truth... Unfortunately there was NO positive aspects of the Hawks play at all. Once again, the Hawks "high-powered offense" adumberates in response to even the slightest physicality

Seems like Boston sticks and passing, not size and hits, are doing the job on the Hawks tonite: quick passes out of the zone, no stretch passes - Hawks can't set up any offense, can't get any pressure on Rask.

Has Rask had to make any more-than-ordinary stops tonite?

It's not just about size, it's about being physical and refusing to lose the puck battles, Hawks do way too many fly bys and always chasing the puck. The Bruins swarm with their physical style of play and out hit and out battle the Hawks on most occassions. IMO that leads to good scoring chances and the Bruins are taking advantage
