There are some good Nuck fans but most whine and complain. The Hawks remind me of the Kings last year where you just feel it's their time, destiny if you will!
Nuck fans should be pulling for the Hawks because they represent the best Conference. I respect the Bruins but I can't stand the East.

I really don't think the Canucks issues start or will end with a new coach even though as the saying goes
A change is as good as a rest
Does anyone on this board not want to see Bickel on the PP in front of the net parked there?
Love Kane Toews Hossa and Sharp for all their skill but a lot to be said for a truck in front of the net that cannot be moved - PEIHawkFan
Bicks should be in there for sure, but LOVE Shaw's GRIT too. He's going toe to navel with Chara and doing a GREAT JOB.

Fair enough
First PP unit has one of them and the second unit has one of them
Can't hurt because as things stand we move the puck around shoot and then skate back and retrieve the puck
What a game last night .....bed at 3 am ....as a Canadian I hate CBC announcers and love the NBC

Chicago has had a pretty bountiful fan base for as long as I can remember. Back in the days of the Norris division I remember a lot of Hawks fans attending games vs the North Stars at the met.
If I'm not mistaken, Detroit, NY and Chicago were all introduced to the original six in the same year, I think back in the late 20's.

There are a lot of decent Wings fans out there, but quite a lot of them feel some sense of entitlement because of their past Cup history. - MnGump
Ever notice at Hawk road games, that there is always are large number of fans in the stands wearing hawks jerseys. Been that way for the 40 years I've been watching. I submit no other team in the league has such a large following around the league. Yes, that also means Toronto.
Heck at some road games the cheer is just as loud when the hawks score as it is when the home team does. Sometimes louder.

I can't post this photo because it's on the Tribune website, but read this and click through if interested:
Angry Blackhawks, sticks in hands, take out after abusive Boston fans just before the final buzzer on Oct. 23, 1960. Leading the charge are Ed Litzenberger, climbing over the rail, Tod Sloan (9), and Al Arbour (2). Fans threw everything at the Hawks, including punches and a light bulb. Goalie Glenn Hall (1), next to linesman Bob Frampton, was hit in the face by a light bulb with 1:44 left to play. It exploded, distracting Hall enough to allow Don McKenney to score the goal that gave the Bruins a 2 to 2 tie. — Chicago American historical photo

I'm honestly shocked at the level of discord for the Canucks.
It's really a compliment to the teams ability to get under the skin of players and fans, i guess.
You'de think your hate would be at the Bruins and their players ala Marchand, and maybe you'de find some camaraderie with Canucks fans, as we have dealt with the cheap shots handed out. - moondawg
I am also shocked at the level of discord for the Canucks. That organization is a complete mess. Utterly in decline
Now, about the level of disgust and total disrespect for the Canucks team and their fans.... Your level of pride at what you describe as getting "under the skin of players and fans"..... Nope, just complete contempt for the team's style of play as well as the conduct of the fans. Also, the excuse making and entitlement of your GM and FO in general makes the league sick.
Example: Ian "explained" the other day after he had said for weeks Eakins was the best candidate for coach that Gillis was really just interviewing him to get under the skin of the Leafs. That you deliberately let the Oilers have him.
Further, it wasn't just the burning rioters but the garbage you Canucks people pulled all off season. Vandalizing Lucic's family's house and church. All the excuse making. Sick.
Team in decline and Pulford Jr. (Gillis) running the show. Moving to a competitive division will make the slide happen even faster. It's beautiful justice.
Lose Gillis and a few of those lowlifes like Burrows. Remake the locker room and find some new leadership that doesn't tolerate the diving and dirty antics. Would love to see a team with class there again.
Note: Marchand is cheap but he is also getting lectured on the bench. Carcillo sees the same from the Hawks. |

Shaw-Bolland-Bickell and the 4th line were very good.
If that keeps up advantage Chicago in a big way.....

It doesn't matter who Gillis hires, when that guy fails Gillis will go with him.

Unless its for a partial season - $168 / $7 = 24 games - the math doesn't work.
Still, a good deal. |

It wasn't long ago if a Panther fan bought a ticket for one game he could exchange the stub for 2 tix for another game.
The few season ticket holders paying full price didn't like the promo very much.

Yeah, that's what I get for believing online math in a newsarticle. Hahaha.
The most amazing/pathetic part is, the deal is limited to first 500 customers. Announced last night and still available today. Wow.
The Panther's landing page has the details.

You're missing my point. When Babcock questions officiating, he questions the consistency, and the fact that it ultimately dries up in the playoffs. I see that written in almost every blog on this site, yet when the opponent's team/coach/management does it, they're complainers and whiners. How does that work? And sore loser? Hardly, I not once thought the Wings would even make it to 7 games against the Hawks. I was not on here to troll, but not one person has clarified their rationale on this subject. - snipesydangle
That was YOUR inference counselor. All I said—which you got all hissy about—was Julien works the refs like Babcock does. Can even be taken as a compliment.
You're like arh77 from the Kings board, ultimately, your know-it-all act is so reliant on a changing story, you end up arguing with yourself. |

I don't feel any entitlement seeing as I've only been around for less than half of their Cup victories. What is annoying is to see the same blogger constantly complain about the other teams never getting calls, when it always goes both ways. - snipesydangle
No what annoys you is your team lost to the Hawks. You don't read my blogs. I don't put "pitchers" of "purty girls" in them with 18-point type. You don't know how much praise I continually heap on the WIngs' organization.
You don't even have a point. You just want to argue. You're a troll.

the rumour is interesting but i doubt it'll happen.
this seems like another hockeybuzz antics for getting hits for your own blog itself, augello's blog and eklunds blog. just my opinion. - icecubz

A lot of praise has undoubtedly already been heaped...but I thought Bollig had one of his best games, if not his best, as a Hawk. He provided a lot of big, heavy hits and was responsible on the ice. That's exactly what the Hawks needed from him against a bigger team early in a series. I suspect we'll see Vik later in the series after Q lets Bollig get in some more shots.
This is going to be a tough, tough series... |
