Yeah those were bad years. But that Nylander-sullivan-Daze line was fun to watch at least. Also I think daze's best yeat was playing with Savard and Probert - tomcat24
I was at the game when Sullivan and Daze each got a hat trick. If i remember right it was on a free green hat day |

Wonder how Lindros' career would have been different without having to play Scott Stevens so often if he was a Hawk? - Morganskaner88
He was soooooo concussion prone I don't think it would have mattered who he played against |

It was. I still have my hat! 6-5 in OT against Boston, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, but Stevens was prone to handing them out regularly. I'd like to think that if we'd landed Lindros, maybe #88 would already be retired, but realistically, given how those years went, Wirtz probably wouldn't have surrounded him with the kind of support he had in Philly anyhow.

lindros was one of the best all around players all time in my books. he may have still been around if the headshot rules were in place back then as they are today. One of a kind for sure.. he could score ,fight, great passer, great faceoff guy and lay the body hard! |

I have a question wonder if anyone knows. During the final sec 309 is turned into a press box. What do they do with all the people who have season tickets there? They get first dibs on alternate seats elsewhere just for final? |

Who else can sign both Sedins after next season? - faustus1500
They will retire Canucks, the question is who will take over as top line guys and move them to the 2nd line. |

Ratings up 119 percent from last year
Updated: June 13, 2013, 6:58 PM ET
Associated Press
NEW YORK -- Chicago's 4-3 triple-overtime win over Boston attracted the most TV viewers for an opening game of the Stanley Cup finals in 16 years.
NBC's broadcast averaged 6.358 million viewers, the most to watch a Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals since Detroit and Philadelphia drew 9,000 more on FOX in 1997.
It marked an increase of 119 percent compared to the Stanley Cup finals series opener last year with the Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils.
NBC is averaging more than 3 million viewers during the playoffs, an increase of 38 percent compared to last year. NBC and the NBC Sports Network are combining to average 1.191 million viewers for each game, an increase of seven percent versus last year. |

So let me get this straight...
Hawks go 24 unbeaten to begin the year with a road heavy sked and go wire to wire in the regular season standings.....and a coach whose team finished in 7th place wins Coach of the Year ?
FUG OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
It's probably a blessing though since Coach of the Year is a curse, but Q's management of the roster through our incredible season has been
PHUCKING OUTSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDING. |

So, Shero wins the GM award. I guess making deadline deals gets you award, even if the trades fail to get the job done. At least he tried - the results don't mean crapola. - mohel
Shero is very well thought of and has been really good at making the cap work with some very expensive players.

MacLean did a vg job but I could make a stronger case for Q. to win the Adams than Toews winning the Selke.
