What does Colorado give us for Letang and MAF? Roy might want to take a shot the reclamation project that is MAF.

Plus he realizes that picks/prospects MIGHT be needed to even things out. Like say, Colorado's 1st for the next 153 years.

That 153rd year being a conditional, of course.

If Malkin is traded in any deal, James Neal has to go with him. Not saying he is just a throw in cause hes not, but he doesn't play well at all without 71

More than likely, that will be Despres' first full season.

Not sure how you can say that with such a small sample size to work with.

Well I went to 3 games, watched him in person, disappointed, watched him on tv every game this year without 71, disappointed, initial year without Crosby or Malkin, disappointed.

You could try Neal and Crosby.... but does Crosby even allow it.... its borderline retarded they haven't even tried to give that a go yet.

Neal's skating sucks... seriously, he was ok yesterday... but most of the time he looks pedestrian out there

what can ya say, you can blame Shero and Bylsma, Shero gave bylsma all these additions to play in place of Despres and Bennett. Maybe Bylsma said those two weren't good enough for playoff hockey... oh the possibilities

You don't trade Malkin. You trade Fleury and Letang(if you have to).

Fleury + for Miller is the deal we should be looking for. Fleury is a great regular season goalie and that's all Buffalo is asking for now that Miller seems to want out. Miller is a playoff goalie (at least he was awessome playing for US in 2010). We need him on board. Go get him Shero.

Hiller is cool and all but we'd have to unload Fleury's salary and Anaheim wouldn't take him.

Is the Letang for Eberle offer still up? ...if not, Shattenkirk/Oshie for Letang.

Unfortunately it wasn't, and we lost a chance to score on a PP. Sucks to be us I guess.

Should have? Yes... but if you call that, then you would have had to call the 47 other penalty worthy violations in OT.

Those types of calls are never made in playoff OT. Generally in that situation, you let the players* decide the game.

Speaking of non calls, this is the Crosby shift pretty much right before the goal where he was playing without a helmet.

Watch Boychuk's tackle on him at about the 33 second mark

It should have been, no doubt. Not that either team's PP was all that great.

Agreed. I don't really understand how you can trade Malkin. He is insanely good

That's ultimately where the game was lost for the Pens. A team with those players should have been able to score on one of the previous 6. Anyway, I would have expected to see the exact same look and thus the exact same result.

It was a neutral zone hook, any hockey fan should understand why that wasn't called.
