Sorry Marc.

Bennett made a play in the first when he took the puck from the corner to the net and got a chance. I thought to myself, great play but why is the rookie the only one doing it?
- canadianpenfan

Goes to the net, check

Nifty in open space (curl and drag shot in OT) check

Willing to play physical, check

Understands where he is on the ice/reduces risk, check

Work ethic, check

Creates time and space for others, check

Keeps it simple, check

But he's young, too risky to trust.

Because our experient players aren't too keen about getting hammered in front of the net? That's the only way I see it. Morrow is the only one getting hammered constantly there. We need more. Crash the f'n net and see how it goes.

I've got to say, this is one of the biggest disappointments of the series for me. Very little traffic in front of Rask. Especially on the PP. He's been able to nearly every shot.

On a completely unrelated not. I've buried Adams a couple of times during the regular season. I thought Vitale would be a better option, but Adams has once again been a stud on the PK. Dude has balls of steel to get in the way of some of those shots.

How about trying to mix half lefties with half righties for once on both PP lines?

I am if the return is good.

I don't see a scenario where MAF is with this team next year, whether by trade or amnesty.

Sad thing is I think he'll be really good for someone else.

- canadianpenfan

say MAF needs a change of scenery and say price did as well. ( don't get me wrong I lo e price andddon't want to see him go, but what would it take to get malkin out of pitts??) lets have some fun.

to mtl

MAF, malkin

to pitts

price, plekanec, beaulieu, kristo and mtls 2014 1st

also if theres one team that can comeback its pitts. remember the habs were down 3-1 in 08 I beleive and won the series in 7 against bos. so far I think the team has the right attitude! goooo pens!!

There were a few shifts with the puck in the offensive zone where I noticed Bennett staying up high around the top of the circles and only went deep when Pens had clear possession.

Not sure if it was out of fear of losing his game jersey/ice time, or he is just that defensively conscious, but it was ice to see that during his shifts that he wasn't going to give up an odd man chance the other way.

no, no and no....

Not sure at this point that Price is much more stable than Fleury, but more expensive.

But the bigger point is that Malkin isn't going anywhere, especially for that return. Prospects don't help us win next season.

change of scenerys have done wonders for players, plus price has said hes having a hard time living here because he can barely piss without people going after him or talking to him. he may find his next lvl in a less hockey mad town such as pitts. also ya maybe the return for malkin was too prospect heavy, you would probably want to see a package involving subban. letang and subban on the pp I think would probably be one of the best pairings for years to come. either way Ithink malkin looks like a guy who could use a change as well

Pittsburgh is #1 in TV ratings for hockey in the US. While it might not be as "hockey mad" as Montreal, it is still a huge hockey market.

Agreed, I don't need an explanation to laugh at the misfortune of others.

On a related note, I will be watching tonight's game.

But it is a much different life in Pittsburgh. Outside of coming/leaving the rink, players here are pretty much left alone.

So Pittsburgh treats them like humans and not caged animals.
