I think we'll be fine. Merrill and Gelinas will provide some North American tenacity and drive. I hope Henrique has a bounce-back year. Matteau is a hard-nosed player too. Carter-Gionta-Bernier bring a great balance of aggression and control. I hope the kids develop quick on D.. we're VERY soft on D. Salvador is aging, doesn't throw the big hits much. Volchenkov half the time can't skate fast enough to position himself for a solid hit. Greene, Fayne, Larsson, Tallinder aren't physical.. and Zidlicky just takes penalties. Merrill, Gelinas and Urbom aren't a pre- eye injury White, or Stevens, ..but they're all well rounded dmen, I hope similar to the Seabrook mould.

I don't mind Europeans... they're much less likely to ditch Jersey in free agency.

take a look at the devils team. they have become a soft team, too many European players who think they are still playing on a 100 foot wide rink. devils teams of the past were built on physical play, none of the Swedish elite league players on the devils roster fit that need. time to start looking at north American young prospects with a little bit of nasty in there game.

We needed a Don Cherry equivalent for our team.

All we need to do after losing the Euros is get rid of those damn frenchies. Brodeur, Bernier, Henrique is close enough.

The Pens blog is laughable. I've never been there before.. but man. Calling for Bylsma to be canned, .. packaging LETANG and Fleury in trades.. wanting to revamp the team...

It's like a bunch of 8th graders freaking out because they didn't play a good game.

In all honesty, Pitt was horrible. Yes, blame the coach. But the players have to wake themselves up just as much.

To be honest, I am not impressed by Bylsma as a coach. Fleury has really gone off the rails. Its nuts to trade letang, though.

Fleury has always been inconsistent. a mistake having him on my fantasy team in 10 and 11

For two years he was seen as a clutch goalie, then he's sucked ever since in the playoffs. I think the media pressure is starting to get to him. Its no longer a soft goal here or there. Just terrible fundamental goaltending and he seems unsure of every shot.

The Swede hate by that guy is Lol. We have what 3 Swedes on the team? I forgot that 3 players = 100% of the team, but hey you learn something new everyday.
