That has zero to do with your comment that no NHL team in their right mind would want him. As A Free Agent, he can play where he wants to play.
- MJL

it actually does.

because if he is a UFA, he's not going to sign a contract with a NHL team, hence he'll go to the KHL

i know, i know...what am i basing it on....im basing it on NOTHING...it's my personal view....

but you just wait and see what happens with the guy when he's bought out...

really? i have to tell you how he's unprofessional and how he's unpredictable? really?
- sarmen25

You can't tell me that he's been unprofessional. Or that his attitude is unpredictable. What you can do is tell me your opinion on it. But in my opinion, there is an obvious bias. If your not happy with his play on the ice, that is reasonable. Everything else, is nonsense.

I'll point out the obvious. You don't know what he's going to do. Or even if he is going to be bought out in the future. You may be right, and he decides to go back and play in the KHL. But that wouldn't mean that no NHL team would want him. A Free Agent not under contract has a choice.

It's very possible he does sign in the KHL. Who knows, he'd probably have to accept a smaller deal right now from a NHL team, where a KHL team could toss a bucket of money at him.

But, I wouldn't be amazed if he ended up on another NHL team if he's bought out.

I think he gets amnestied eventually. From a completely objective standpoint the contract is a bit concerning with length and full nmc.

That being said, I have a fundamental issue with his detractors in general and this latest one is a prime example. Everything bryzgalov has done good is minimized by these people while everything he does bad gets blown out of proportion.

No Bryzgalov has not quite lived up to the hype however he hasn't been the main cause of the flyers struggles. He gives you 4-5 good games then a bad one and maybe two or three average games. That probably as a whole makes him an average to above average goalie who's overpaid by about 1-2 million a season. Does that make him the antichrist? Not in my view but apparently for some people it does.

The guy has only played a season and a half here. I think the flyers opting to hold off on an amnesty for now are simply being prudent. Hate to see the guy leave town then head a parade in another city next year (sound familiar?) all because he has personality issues and at times his play has left something to be desired yet has also played some strong hockey at times.

Wasting your time mate, personality has no place on "factbuzz" at times.

Might as well just put a thumb up your ass, throw on those orange coloured glasses and scream out "yahoo".

it's what some swear. The guy is a fruit bat no doubt but when he gets hot he's pretty dominant. Just hate to see him leave when really there's no reason too just yet. If he can't elevate his game next year or outplay mason fine but right now what's the rush?

I'd probably lean toward the fact that his inability to keep his mouth shut, and avoid comments which even George Bush would know are controversial.

On a team with so many young players, its not crazy to think it has an effect. Coupled with the fact that Bill mentioned the fact of him not being liked by a number of players...

These are not facts though, we need a link. God forbid we think for ourselves.

Trying to bring in personality

I have a lot of Ilya in me, at least from what I can see. The quirky philosophical side.

(frank)ing guy needs to do one thing. Keep the pucks out of the net, and when he cant keep his stupid mouth shut and not just make things worse.

Could he (god forbid) be a product of a stingy Coyotes system? Could comments from previous team-mates have some validity? What the (frank) has he shown in his time in Philadelphia aside from inconsistent play, and being a distraction. I'd give him one more year if the team cannot find a guy to help Mason, but he has done NOTHING to help his situation. Yet I dont have a link, I am not in the room. Well my god lets just talk about numbers, stats and the cap. Spank my ass and call me sally!

Haha kind of fired up today. Really pathetic to have to scroll through bullpoop after bullpoop or different people trying to at the very least bring up topics if nothing else, and have everything be torn apart and conversations halted because of some napolean complex.

agreed...

then lots focus on the 'facts'

'facts' are telling me that this guy is a mediocre goalie (according to his factual stats) who is getting paid as an elite goalie.....for another seven years.

facts are telling me the cap is going down this year and the next...

facts are telling me that this team needs to re-sign Giroux, Couts, Schenn and Read...

facts are telling me that the team needs better defence...facts can also make the case they need a goal scoring winger.

based on these facts, he should be gone.

better?

Personally, I would have no problem with them buying him out and rolling the dice on Mason and a free agent. Take the cap space from Briere and Bryz and try to strengthen other areas.

But, while I think Bryz has been great at time, inconsistent more often, and terrible on occasion, I attribute it as much to Laviolette's lack of defensive accountability as I do Bryz himself.

That being said, I think I would be happier if they DID buy him out, but if they don't, I hope they do something about the defensive play in front of him, so maybe he gets a fairer shake.

Then if he is still inconsistent, you buy him out after the season.

Why the (frank) should you even have to focus on the facts? How boring is that. Might as well have a bunch of fat guys playing chess while drinking tea.

Have to defend yourself in some BS dead end conversation. Absolutely rediculous. Little Richard syndrome, and having to scroll through pages of it day after day is a joke.

Maybe that will be a happy day. When those of us who at least try to bring up new topics leave. Leaving stats, facts and the cap to rule the day. By all means, because frankly, that seems to be the intent here day after day. Get some (frank)ing personality, and if you dont like it, maybe keep your mouth shut. Scrolling through pages and pages, of the same old theme, what a (frank)ing joke. If you dont like it, grow a pair and start a new topic, as it seems every other one is "stupid" and doesnt have "validity/facts".

A players personal thoughts on a subject are just that. And have zero to do with a Hockey team. And one players opinion is just that. To think that Bryzgalov has influence over young player, with comments that he makes in an interview, is a reach. The young players are grown men.
It's also naive to think that every player on team likes every other player. There's 24 or more players on a team. They don't have to like each other. That's no different then any walk of life.

No you have a game here.

Start nothing new. Simply target posters who bring up new ideas day after day, be an ass, and contribute nothing new.

Just bash ideas. Thats all. Only run to the "facts".

Frankly you have a right to discuss what you wish, when the day comes that it drives the majority off this board. I hope you enjoy it. There are many of us who would enjoy the board much more without having to sift through your BS day after day, trying to prove your Richard is bigger.

I ignore your posts because it ruins my experience. I'd appreciate if you ignore mine. Grow up.

Good question. Flyers are in a little bit of a bind there. Although he could be a trade piece to bolster the defense. He has a lot of value to the team this upcoming Season due to his versatility and his low cap hit. With the Cap being lowered for next Season.
