Danny B. on TSN with the panel talking about the LA/SJ game....

Love this guy ..... buyout will probably occur but hate to see this guy go.

Such an awesome guy and a Gatineau native like myself.

In his 10 games when his opponent is facing elimination, Rask has allowed 34 goals, and his save % is around .870.

If Bernie did say that, he's been proven wrong by any number of goalies. Roman Turek. Jim Carrey. Every Caps goalie not named Olaf Kolzig.

Again, not saying he can't turn it around, just that he hasn't been able to get it done so far.

Bernie did say it. Before the 1985 playoffs, he told Pelle Lindbergh (who had been part of a few first-round losses and looked bad in the process) that he'd never won a single NHL playoff series in his career until 1973-74. Two Stanley Cups later, no one was talking about how Bernie couldn't win in the playoffs.

"Hockey is hockey. This can't win in the playoffs stuff is BS. Just keep doing what you've done all year, and you'll be fine," Parent said.

True, but there are a lot of guys who had stellar regular season careers and saw their performance levels dip badly in the post season. Take a guy like Froese. He put up some stellar regular season numbers as a Flyer(including a season where he posted a GAA that was 0.68 better than anyone else) and his play dropped significantly in the playoffs.

There's been other guys, too. Roman Turek. Jim Carrey. Roman Cechmanek. Steph Beuregard

As advice from one goalie to another, Bernie's advice is great. But as a rule it hasn't borne out.

I'd love to see Rask pitch a shutout next game, because I still have hatred for the Rangers from when the aforementioned Froese was a rookie and beyond.

Danny B helped bring this franchise out of the mess that was the 2006 season.

He contributed on and off the ice for this franchise. He is going to be missed.

I thought (more like hoped) they were going to win the whole thing..... Not looking good with that prediction.

The only thing I can't stand about Detroit is throwing (frank)ing octopus on the (frank)ing ice. Eat em or leave em in the ocean, don't use them as props in a (frank)ing game. Or start throwing dead puppies and see how long that lasts.

Other than that, that organization is rock solid.

That is the worst case scenario if you're a Flyers fan. That match up in the Finals will subject us to every troll in the NHL forest.

The only rooting interest in a Pens/Kings finals would be for a meteor strike.

Well, since I always root for the Kings, Ill have no problem with it. Ive always liked the Kings and have no issues with Carter or Richards. Both were great for us when they were here, and both left not of their own accord.

GO KINGS!!

Pens v Bruins is going to be brutal, but I think the Bs pull it out.

And I'm really hoping SJ and Thornton are tired of under-achieving and they pull out 2 more wins.

not built for play off style hockey, maybe

all the clutching and grabbing not getting called seems to be working against them

Over the last 50+ years, the one year the Hawks picked not to be frauds had to be 2010.
