Thanks for the pelle story, Bill. Maybe since Voracek walked away unscathed the luck and decision making of the players can start changing for the better, maybe.

Oh look the rags getting swept with he who has a crown for nothing and the almighty Rick Nash whom we failed to trade half our team for last year, what a shame.

I guess a team actually has to show up and play rather than just acquire big names or think a goalie can win it all by himself.

I could be wrong, but over the last 15 years, I think the Flyers have drafted one guy who was playing in Europe in the first round (Danius Zubrus). I kind of expect that trend to continue this year.

Zubrus played in jr a for the caledon canadiens. Pitkanen was the last European trained player taken in rd 1, forsberg was the last forward.

Unless Ontario, Canada was located in Europe for a few years, he wasn't.

Zubrus was playing junior B in Pembrooke and Caledon, Ontario.

Pitkanen was playing in Finland when he was drafted by the Flyers. The last player prior to Pitkanen, who was playing in Europe when the Flyers selected him in the 1st round?

There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.

I'm not laying it on him but at the same time for all hype there is with him I'd have thought he could "steal a game" as the so called experts like to claim that elite goalies always do. It's not so simple a goalie is only a cog in the wheel albeit an important cog. Yes Lundy is a good goalie but IMO he's not a Roy, Hasek or Brodeur. With the way the game is today as opposed to 10-15 years ago it might not be fair to hold a goalie to those standards either.

They're dead, whether they win this or not Boston is not giving up a 3 game lead AGAIN.

When his team has an opportunity to close out a series, Rask's save % headed into tonight's game is .872

It's still early in his career and that 2010 series isn't helping his case. Boston is another team I can't stand but their goalie hasn't coronated himself with a stupid crown on his hat for post game press conferences.

No, 2010 doesn't help his case, but that's part of the resume

Not sure. But he's had issues stepping up and shutting the door when his team has a chance to end another team's season.

I'll just say this, it was said Jeff carter couldn't perform in the post season while he was here. I learned last year not to feed to much into that cliche with young players.

when he fell down and allowed the first goal i knew the rangers would win tonight. bruins lost in OT in game 4. hmmmm.....this seems strangely familiar for some reason.

Not saying he can't perform, just saying that the guy's history is underwhelming and there's no injuries, as in Carter's case.

They'll close it out. Boston isn't as banged up as they were in '10

How much of that is on him and how much on his team? I think Boston and New York have both sagged for stretches defensively in this series, hence the high scoring.

i agree. can't see the rags winning 4 straight. bruins are the better team. henrik is the only reason this series isn't over yet. that and rask falling down for no reason and giving up a goal to allow the comeback.

He also allowed at least one brutal goal tonight. Not saying he can't turn it around, just that his track record hasn't been good at all.

And how about Chara and his screw up? Don't expect to see that happen again.
