According to what I've read recently (including, but not limited to Tessier's blog), Burmistrov is unlikely to accept a contract extension in the Peg so long a Noel is still coach. I say we get right on that! Burmistrov's possession statistics are fairly impressive as he played against relatively average competition despite typically having below-average linemates. He's young, he's got some wheels, he's got slick hands, and a reasonably sized body. I'd love to see a 1B line like this:

Nichushkin- Burmistrov- Yakupov

OR

Zykov- Burmistrov- Yakupov

I'm sorry, but I'd just love to see a team that has an all-Canadian first line and then an all-Russian 2nd (or 1A/1B in this case). Assuming you were guaranteed to sign with the Oilers at a fair price, what would you offer Winnipeg in exchange for his rights?

That's a really good question. The asking price would be pretty big. What do you think?

u left out gagner, and we dont need weiss at all.
everything else aint bad.

Exactly. Just but Gagner on the first line. And in a couple seasons when Horcoff is done, swap in Gauthier to take his position. He'll be more than ready by then. Also, when Fistric is done, bring in another dman from juniors. So either (if we draft them) Morin, Pulock or Theodore. I think it's a good idea. And signing Clowe would be a great addition as well.

Pretty sure you are wrong. So now where are we?

go to behindthenet.ca or somekindofninja and you'll see that he played against the weakest opponents and had the most offensive starts.

You should watch him play a few more times because equating his d-play to Schultz's is a stretch.

I'm not saying Schultz is as good as Yandle, just saying I don't wanna see more that 1 offensive D on the Oilers. I see more like 1, 3 shot blocker/shutdown types and a couple 2 way guys as ideal. If you say his 2 way game is better than I'm suggesting I won't argue,I've only really seen a dozen of his games maybe.

If the team is looking to trade down, which was the point as there are numerous talented players. I guy with Arcobello's points in the AHL would definitely be the type of person that they would look for. To move those spots. I am cool with a number 2, I just personally think that Arcobello has more trade value than someone that hasn't played in the AHL yet.

In this draft a prospect is what is going to change hands to move. Unless it is our third next year. I doubt many people are parting with a draft pick to move three spots unless it is to pick in the top 3. All Edmonton really needs to do is move 1 or more spot. Otherwise I say screw it and take Domi. If we are going to be small, might as well get the small tough guy that can score.

I would burn my jerseys if we moved down to take Domi. That is a horrible suggestion
