he would benefit don't get me wrong lol gary would whip him into shape, though i dont think that has been a question about colborne. it has always been his skating. it isnt the era of jason allison anymore. guys need to be at least an average skater if they want to make it, which colborne isnt. let him work with barb, fix his stride, do some power skating, and become more explosive

He's also 23 and was a long shot based on the hope of his size like Gauthier is. Not saying they are bad players or picks, but that guys at 6'4-6'5 without grit even if it is inconsistent grit are rarely taken so early

no i get what you mean. i'd prefer to takee a guy who is 6'0-6'2 maybe even 6'3 because generally they are better skaters. even if the talent drops off a bit, the better skater will make it over the weaker skater but a little more talented player

I have a small flicker of hope that the Oil would be willing to swap picks with a team around our position for some immediate help, that's the team I see being most comfortable with dropping. MacTavish said he was going to do thing differently, picking outside of the top 10 would be different.

I have a small flicker of hope that the Oil would be willing to swap picks with a team around our position for some immediate help, that's the team I see being most comfortable with dropping. MacTavish said he was going to do thing differently, picking outside of the top 10 would be different.

yea but who would we need to deal for them to get immediate help? it would need to be a dman. i don't see the leafs dealing gardiner, rielly might not be ready to be an immediate impact, same with our other d prospects. is gunnar and our 1st enough to move up that much? i don't think so.

If you mean from your team, I can't think of anyone. The high end guys are not gonna get moved, and then I don't see anyone else who we'd want.

I think the only guy who fits in there could be PRV, but I don't see that helping us too much (plus I'd rather just pick up Stalberg if its a tall, fast winger that we need)

lol if you really want to think of someone who will drop, its calgary. feaster is such a stupid gm, i could see him making a deal because management said they want them to make the playoffs next year. he might think his ass is on the line if he cant convince them to go into a rebuild and make a stupid deal (which calgary has already done with toronto in the past, why not again?) now i don't know exactly what it would cost to get that pick but it's something nonis should explore
