they wouldn't have made it past Washington without that trade.

That's true but a WSH/BOS comparison is garbage IMO. Chara alone is better than their entire D core. Holtby unless playing Boston, still has plenty of room to develop. I think the ceiling is high on him but there is a lot of room between at the moment.

Then there is their Captain and his leadership. Once Ovie inevitably quits that offense dies quickly. Sorry, but the Craps have no guts and rock series sandy vaginas. Cannot compare them to Boston. I still say Bruins in 6.

krug only played 12 franking minutes in game 2 and i think he had less than 15 in game 1. pretty amazing what he has accomplished playing baby minutes.

gabby was definitely a bruin killer. i think i remember multiple hat tricks or it seems like multiple hat tricks.

edit: anyone catch ron poster's 'shakedown st' after the first rags goal yesterday. love it!

I hope they go into New York and make this a 3-0 series. Take the crowd out of it, Score early and lets bury em.

i've got a bad feeling about tonight. it's a trap with hank publicly sandbagging his shouldler boo boo.

just need one down in new york. hope they don't fall back to one goal a game like chicago.

seguin and jagr are both due.

Tyler is overdue... I gotta say, I liked moving Jagr up, but now he seems so tired, maybe its time to put him back on the third. And if part of the problem last series was Kelly and Peverly were too slow and inconsistent to play with Jagr, how is that gonna affect Seguin.

Peverly is horrendous right now. I like the idea of moving Jagr back to the 3rd line. With Bergeron and Marchand producing again hopefully it affects Seguin too. I really would rather have the Dogman in over Peverly at this point.

agreed. it's comical watching marchand and bergy streak down on a rush and jagr trailing BEHIND the defensemen. flip the two despite seguin having stone hands.

shame about pevs turning into a nightmare. i don't see dogman or soderberg taking two high sticking penalties.

I thought he played decent in (was it game one vs toronto?) showed a lot of energy. Him or the Swede, but you know that Clode is going to stick with the Vets for as long as humanly possible. That scares me too that AF might be given his spot back over young guys who are clearly playing better than he was.

I don't either. I'm not thrilled about putting in so many unexperienced guys in the lineup but...Peverly is becoming a glaring problem. Also Chris Kelly with no points... Soderberg was a center in the SEL right? Again the postseason probably not the best time but a solid 3rd will be needed.

claude won't make any lineup changes unless they lose or someone else gets hurt. i wouldn't even bring back seids until there's a loss. redden maybe over krug. af, thanks for the memories.

Definitely sucks. Because of the 1 way deal on Bart, the way he has played combined with AF's play this season, I think AF will hit the market. Bart is the younger more inexpensive option with the cap coming down and Tuukka needing a new contract and a deserved raise.

Just hope AF goes west. I would hate to see him in Philly.

The Bruins seem to have the better game plan and execution in this series. The Rangers need to park someone in front of Rask and block his vision as is being done to Henrik.
- Prucha

I love when teams say they need to park someone in front of the net. Not even boyle can stay in front of the net with Chara there throwing everyone around, its not fair having him on our team.

bart and krug count almost the same against the cap as af. pevs, kelly, and seguin combined are sucking down close to $12m! not much space left once chia pays rask. wonder if horton will take a discount.

I think you could trade Pevs in the offseason. The return wouldn't be great but it's possible. Kelly could be a buyout candidate as his contract is gross. Horton is a tough one for me. I love the kid when he is on and drives me crazy when he goes cold. I have to look at whats out there and think about it.

EDIT: Wow this UFA market sucks! Horton is the best option if he takes a discount IMO. As for Peverly... Ryan Jones, Yip. Ryder(ugh), Lagenbrunner(bit a of stretch but experienced), Richardson and Boyes I think would be better options at a better cap hit.

Looking at the Providence roster not too many right hand options. Does Knight get an invite to camp?

kelly and pevs each making $3m is highway robbery especially when you consider what paille and campbell make.

Chia rewarded his boys and that's a good for the image of the team in eyes of UFA's but these 2 extensions aren't so good anymore. I liked Peverly's at the time but Kelly's contract...

He rewarded them for career years, then they were expected to maintain, and that hasn't happened.
