HORRIBLE HORRIBLE call....watching the video replay over and over makes it even more clear it's a horrible call...they even admitted that the primary point of contact was the shoulder. Now the Sharks are without Havlat and Torres...it's pretty clear which team the league wants to win.

Secondly, Brown uses his forearm to get more power behind his hits, but when he misses them it looks like he's trying to throw an elbow. Or maybe he was just trying to throw an elbow. Either way, I'm not talking about Brown here. If Brown throws an elbow, I don't like it, the same as when he embellishes. So that argument is stupid. You might as well point to OJ as a reason why it's okay to murder.

Well then the Sharks are just going to have to win without him and if they still win the series it will be that much better to have done it without him.

And he will be rested just in time to be greeted by (most likely) the welcoming Blackhawk fans who unlike LA have reason to hate him.

Hopefully the boys are extra sparked tonight and even the series up for us. Couldn't expect another sweep on the road, a split is all we need.

Man it was hard to make heads or tails of that hit, I have been back and forth on whether it was dirty clean reckless and everything inbetween and still can't really tell. I watched the explanation video, I get what they are saying but at the same time I don't know if i would have let up on someone in that situation.. I am glad its not my job to make those decisions. I think giving him a series toss was pretty gnarly though... 1 game or 2 would have been sufficient

I'm surprised the league went as far as 6 games. I didn't think it was that bad of a hit, but with Torres' reputation I figured he'd get a game or two. Actually, without Torres it makes the Sharks second line more lethal with Pavelski joining Couture and Marleau.

What an absolute joke of a suspension, if you don't want certain players in the league just ban them, oh wait "Players Union", I wonder if the players union will stand up for Torres, he obviously plays on the edge, but Stoll has to take some blame for that hit as well, he didn't leave his feet, he didn't clearly target his head, wow, just a horrible suspensions.

This is exactly what's wrong with NHL officiating, blatant hook by kings that isn't called, then 30 secs later 2 week calls against the sharks. Such a (frank)ing joke.
