The Bruins Toronto game should have had like 4 suspensions all with in a span of like 3 min, if Torres gets one here its a joke. |

Shanahan was an egotistical dbag as a player & is even worse now that he's in the league office. |

To me just like getting a DUI, at this point it does not matter the intoxity level or in his case the how much of the head he hit.... it matters that he is not getting it. I see him getting like 30-50 games as a repeat offender.

That was shoulder to head and if you watch the reply unbiasedly, you will also see Torres bends his knees before the hit and shoots himself upwards to deliver a harder hit. That in itself isn't a penalty but when you make contact to the head at the first point of impact it sure as hell is. And because Torres is a repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat offender, he will get no break and shouldn't. His last suspension was 21 games, this should be longer. Just because Stoll wasn't knocked out and severely injured like Hossa doesn't make the cheap shot any less severe. |

He is an idiot.
He deserves to be banned from the sport.
Stoll was his Edmonton roommate!!

Which is why he held up on the hit, genius.

He does not launch into Stoll.
Unbiasedly? Coming from a Hawks fan??

"Let’s face it if Eric Lindros played under the same rules that the league is governed today he may still be out there setting records."
In your own contradictory, twisted words you just proved the point perfectly. TOO MANY PLAYERS ARE GETTING HURT! Players like Torres don't have it in them to police themselves. The message has to be sent, trying to injure someone, or simply playing recklessly and putting players in danger is UNACCEPTABLE.
If this was the first time for Torres, I'd be all for a slap on the wrist. But this guy is involved in an incident practically every game. He just doesn't get it. It doesn't matter if Stoll's head was the target, he puts players at risk time and time again.
Take a look at Brown. He has delivered some crushing checks over his career mostly legal, some maybe borderline. Brown didn't deserve to be suspended 2 games this season, but was, simply because he injured a player during last year's playoffs, then the Wild incident. A trend was starting and the NHL nipped it in the butt. Torres has made a living delivering borderline/illegal hits. It's time he sits for 1/2 a season or more and learns. |

2 games for Gryba on Eller, when Eller had the puck in his skates.
Gryba drove through him, Torres goes upwards a little bit.
Looks like Torres gets more head than Gryba did, but obviously Stoll's face didn't connect with the ice.
Not saying it's right, but if Gryba got 2 you have to expect a suspension. |

1. he didn't hold up, he simply missed hitting him harder.
2. you cant avoid his checkered past. sharks traded for him because of who he is.
stoll has been a shell of himself compared to last year. he never wins the critical draws, and takes dumb penalties. he'll sit in the press box with the insanely hot erin andrews, the kings won't have to worry about torres taking out kopi, carter, brown, doughty, etc...it all suits me just fine.

This is laughable. Up until about 2 years ago I liked the way the guy played, but many of his opportunist hits have crossed the line. Torres is old school. Brown is just douchey. |

meanwhile there are only 29 other teams who'd jump at the chance to land Duchey Brown. If not for Quick, Duchey was the Playoff MVP. If the Sharks went after more guys like Duchey and less guys like Torres, they'd already have won numerous cups by now. |

Per TSN: @Real_ESPNLeBrun: From Sharks skate: Pavelski replaces Torres on Couture line with Marleau. Gomez moves up to third line. Kennedy checks in on 4th line
That second line looking dangerous again... |

Skating with your head up, now there's a novel idea! Can't say I've ever heard of doing that... Stoll if you had your head up it wouldn't hurt so bad from it hitting the ice after Torres hit your shoulder while you were staring at your shoelaces... |

It is unfortunate but the NHL is becoming known as the No Hit League - CamGore
Is this a joke? The NHL may be inconsistent with discipline, and they may say they're out to remove certain hits (edit: that is, aside from Torres they've shown they don't give a damn in the playoffs), but it is by no means a 'no hit league'. |
