Stastny or Thorton, as long as we get a centerman thats an upgrade, i dont care - Mapleleafs_91
Thornton would be pretty difficult to acquire compared to Statsny and his older, I think Colorado is in a position where they have to move one of their 3 centers because they are budget team and can't afford to pay 20 mil for their centers. |

If he was making 4.5 he would have still been an underachiever this year. - dragus84
Oh yeah, but he's underachieving and we know he has more offensive prowess than he's shown the contract is just awful though. |

incorrect.. toronto did want to sign him, orr turned them down.
he chose boston because they had a young core.
territorial rights never existed.. ever. - Dozzer
bobby orr liked the core at 12?
there is so much stuff made up in people heads its all fact now
At this time in the NHL and right through the late 60's amateur players were signed by NHL teams to C forms and then placed on their appropriate junior clubs or minor pro clubs depending on their age. The most extreme case of this was Bobby Orr. Orr signed a C form three weeks before his 12th birthday with the Boston Bruins. He was so young his parents signature was required. When he turned 14 he began playing for Boston's junior sponsored team, the Oshawa Generals. That's how Orr became a Bruin."

What do you think it would take to get Crosby out of Pitt.
Maybe a nice Liles, Grabo, and a 2nd package? - dragus84
I have a feeling Luongo, Booth, and a second is going to become the most popular hypothetical trade bait around here.
It's the new Omark + 2nd.
Or the new Macarthur, Gunnarsson, and a 2nd. |

be it his parents or Orr.. someone decided the best move was to sign with boston. my point was and still is that the leafs never had a territorial right to the player
