Rangers play 2 games at yankee stadium both considered away. How is this fair? Its almost like they have two extra home games. |

The Isles wouldn't trade Strome for Edler under any circumstances. That's crazy talk. - Jethro09
and 8 years at $5 million per year left on his contract.. |

What is the realistic trade price for Bernier? I would like to kick the tires on Halak too and see what his price is. Guy is a good goalie, only 28, under contract for next year, sounds like he is on his way out of St. Louis, and I would have to think cheaper to get than Bernier. |

While I'd be intruiged by the possibility of acquiring Bernier, though I wouldn't over offer for him, I don't see much point in making a trade for Halak. Unless we have suddenly become convinced that neither Nilsson, Koskinen or Poulin will be a long term solution, there's no reason for us to lock another goaltender up long term or make a significant trade. Let's concentrate on finding a solid shutdown dman and go from there.
I do think Bernier could be had for a high pick and prospect, though LA would probably want an established player. |

I agree with what you're saying and I also think that upgrading the defense is the most important task for this offseason. Concerning Halak, I was just curious as to why he wasn't mentioned, but Bernier keeps coming up. By acquiring either guy (or any young goaltender for that matter) I would think that all 3 of the islanders prospects in goal become expendable.
I know what both Poulin and Nilsson have been up to, but what has Koskinen been doing. I see he has good numbers in the SM. Would have to think he is 3rd in the pecking order with the other two guys, but again I haven't heard much about him lately so I could be mistaken |

I bet a 4th rd pick and a mid level prospect like Ness...he makes $4.5 million...was a headache to the coach so I'm sure they would like to dump him. |

Nino and a second rounder? Our first and a prospect not named Strome/Nino/Reinhart? We don't have a second rounder this draft but could acquire one from another team. Maybe it would take Nino and our 1st rounder? |

I think it will be around that too. I'm not too certain 4th and a mid level prospect would get him like mentioned above. They've held him for a while so I'm inclined to think the price will be around what you just mentioned starting with either a 1st or a high level prospect |

This is why I hate the cover vote
The only people that deserve the cover from the list EA provided are Malkin , JT , and Dats. |

Selling out in the playoffs and then doing it again in the reg season are 2 different things.. If we don't come out of the gate winning... it will be the same ol same ol NVMC.

From ESPN:
That source said sacrificing revenue on those six games at Nassau, which is expected to hold a capacity of 13,000 fans after renovations, is a major concern.
Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets, is fitted to seat 14,500. Nassau, currently the oldest arena in the league, seats 17,686.
Here's my point about the "real" media....Katie Strang seems to think there are 17,686 seats in the Nassau Coliseum. Where are the other 1,500 seats? On the roof? |

Yeah....not Edler. I wouldn't even listen to anyone use the word Strome in a sentence unless that sentence also contains the words "Shea" and "Weber", and even then, it would have to be the right deal.... |

As long as they don't bomb, people will come. The carryover of excitement will sell seats early on. |
