Nope, Toronto gives us fits every time they play us for the same reason you seem to. Reimer is the ONLY reason Toronto is still alive. He has come a long way. You have a Reimer in net, you aren't an eight seed in these play-offs.

He may just have the inexplicable hex that Cam Ward (and Miller, and Vokoun ) has on us, when he plays against you guys. Every time I watch him play, he's constantly out of position, and he gives up a TON of rebounds. Nexium is a beautiful thing....

They might not have the speed / or offensive skill but they do have 2 pretty good goalies and a pretty good all around team defense.

Toronto would give us fits. however, I think boston wraps it up and takes care of them.

with Toronto and NY Islanders out, that really takes care of all of the speedy teams that are a horrible match up for the penguins.

Washington is probably our biggest threat now and i'm confident against them.

glad you guys weren't in this year to screw us up.

Dude, I totally understand that. That said, I don't think Ottawa's skill level offensively will have out defense look as bad as it did. Ottawa brings a polar opposite set of challenges than did the Isles.

Provided Strome pans out into anything close to the player we're hoping he'll be, I'll take that!

a little late to the party, but I gotta throw in my 2 cents.

I respect any team in the playoffs, but I just gained a TON of respect for your team and fans.

islanders came into this series obviously predicted to have a quick exit. they got pummeled in game 1 and most thought that was it. the players could have said screw it, lets enjoy the experience, try to win 1 for our fans and head into the offseason.

instead, your coach made adjustments and the islanders became a playoff hockey team that utilized their strengths and attacked the other team's weakness. out of the 6 games, they probably outplayed the penguins in 4 games. but this is probably one of the most important lessons they will learn from the playoffs. just because you outplay your opponent, doesn't mean you win. execution is the key in a playoff series. had the islanders PP been better, this series would have been over. islanders never gave up and battled to the final goal.

I now have great respect for what the islanders did. now it's on the ownership and management. they have something brewing here. they can decide to push this team back 2 steps and save money, or go out and get that big name guy to give them an edge. given the islanders division next year, it will be tough. but they are a great story.

I know you guys have some ownership/location problems. and trust me, been through that. some of the darkest days came when no one knew what would happen to the penguins. the stories, reports, rumors of us moving all took a toll. it worked out for us in the end and I hope it does for you guys too. sounds like the move to Brooklyn will be a good thing.

wish you guys the best down the road. glad to see playoff hockey return and hope to see stable ownership emerge.

that is the exact reason i am rooting for the Caps to beat the Rags, I don't want to see Pens vs Rags and just watch the Rags sit back and rub Henrys shoulders for 60 minutes, atleast the Caps will attack you.

D*mn skippy, brother....time to put the big boy pants on. I know it's easy to do, because she blocks out the sun, but there'll be no more hiding behind the Hempstead Town Queen, Kate Murray, from this point forward- the excuses are over.

Good luck the rest of the way

exactly. If we've learned anything about our ownership and gm, they actually do have a plan and are more than patient when it comes to sticking to it. This team has just introduced itself to the world. Soon Strome, Nino, Reinhart, Nilsson and a few others will all do the same

gotta tell you guys, I love my pens, but no way in hell we deserved this one. You guys have one one hell of a coach. Great game day coach. Capuano completely outcoached blysma. I expect will see you again next year.

I was just saying if we had a legit back up all season... like Al... we might not have been the 8th seed, we may have met the Pens in the second round.. maybe the Third.

Nelson looked fine on the wing tonight... for him to make the team it may have to be on the wing.

I really wanted a game 7 but the team did themselves and all the fans proud. I cannot wait to see what moves are made this offseason. I'm glad to have seen Nelson play tonight. The sky is the limit for this team.
