The Blues remind me of the Kings last year during their run. The only exception might be the ability to put the puck in the back of the net. They've had numerous chances to score and failed to do so, some of that being Quicks great play! Experience is also a factor as the Kings have been through this before. This series is NOT over so Blues fans shouldn't give up. This series very well could have been a sweep by either team.

Whether Blues fans want to admit it or not, even if the Blues lose game 6, this series has been a big step in the right direction for the Blues and perhaps in getting some good personnel assessment. People keep talking about how much the Blues learned last year. I think the Blues learned some last year but may likely grow a lot more this year. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Blues still won the series. Is the probability in their favor? No but it isn't like I think they are completely done. I do think it is very important that they don't lay an egg in LA, if only for future psychological impact.

If you look at last year, they did win some close games against San Jose but it wasn't nearly as tight as any of the games in this series. The Kings then taught them some valuable lessons. They taught how the prior series is irrelevant, how bringing the physical can cause havoc against another team, and how you need to up your play every game. Unfortunately, the Kings owned them that series which didn't provide any real experience in tight, physical, battle style games that are so close the coaches eat tums all game. These games are a whole different level of intensity than anyof the playoff games last year and it's new to almost all of them. This is great experience, especially for guys like Petro and Schwartz.

Agree completely, this ain't over yet. My favorite stat? Through 5 games, either team (in this case the blues) has led by 2 goals for a grand total of only 5 MINUTES!!!

It is absolutely astounding to me how well Schwartz has responded this year. To think that before training camp had started almost everyone had him starting the season in Peoria. He has really found his niche on this team and I think he will be huge going forward.

He has easily been one of the three or four best Blues players this series, easily. Like you said, really amazing. He's also been so close to finishing it off a few times. He needs one to go in, even a lucky one, to get the ball rolling. He's not finishing because pucks bouncing, being at the wrong angle, etc. unlike a lot of the guys who are not finishing because they are missing the net, shooting it into quick, etc.

Agreed.. Win or lose, I hope he nets one. He's deserved about a dozen for how hard he's worked.
