In Budaj's defense....it looked like the shot went off Diaz.
- stormey

That's what I thought too, but Symba said no.

I didn't even see it go in.

I heard that geriatric (frank) Cole start to say "Sco--" and pressed stop, delete, power.

Therrien is being outcoached by MacLean.

Price is not to blame for loses outside of game 1, but he's still being outplayed by Andersson.

Sens D is better and F are more consistent. Not much more to say.

Those goals were garbage, and many calls were missed but if Habs were playing like the first three-quarters of the season, it wouldn't matter. They are placing themselves in situations to allow the reffing to screw them over, so they can't cry about it.

Didn't it? I thought so too, but nobody seems to mention that.
- hscesq

Well Budaj looked at him after the goal like..."are you (frank)ing kidding me?"

TSN showed it on the replay and it looked like it hit him. They mentioned it.

God Cole is the worst. Outside leaf fans, no one likes the guy (as an announcer), yet he doesn't even do Leaf games!

There has to come a time, when his lack of ability outweighs his star studded past as a play by play guy. IMO, that time passed about 10 years ago, when he started calling the opposition players simply by the team's name "The Ottawa goalie covers it... the Ottawa defense skates it up the ice.. etc".

I think it was probably a good goal. But EE is correct in saying that had it been called no goal on the ice, it probably would not have been reversed.
- hscesq

yeah agreed.

It is like the NFL's "clear evidence" rule. I hate that stuff. How tough is it to look at a replay and make a decision regardless of what the ref's originally said.

I also hate the "direct the puck into the net is OK rule". The Leafs had one like that against them also.

Last night, he referred to PK Subban as Josh Gorges. Someone should tell him that Gorges is not black.

It's time to put him out to pasture.

Well, it's better than confusing Gorges with PK like he did yesterday...

Voice is one thing, but if you are going to call a game, you have to have something between the ears, too.

Game 3 was a team loss, and Price wasn't better than his teammates.

That distinction goes to unbiased Jack Edwards...but only when he does NESN games. His voice is different for some reason on NBC.

Look what we are discussing. These are things that Pee Wee teams work on and get down by the end of the season. It's sickening that these issues played a part in the loss.
- hscesq

Agreed.

Nice to see that you're coming around on the Zabinijihad goal.

I would take him in a second on the Sens. The guy even produces without Sid.

He's the type of guy any team would love to have. He can play, effectively, on any line and can PK with the best of them.
