Let's say Skinner and Staal is an even up deal (or close to it).
Who would win Murphy for Kreider straight-up? High ceilings and low floors for both of those guys, at least in the minds of many. - Pete V
Murphy might be better overall for the team.
As much potential as Kreider has, if we dont move Hagelin or MZA, spots on the wings in the top 6 will be tough to grab... esp. with Fast, Lindberg and St. Croix in the pipeline. |

Sold on that trade, without question. Like I said earlier, Skinner is more experienced and younger than Kreider and Murphy is a highly skilled right handed defenseman with a lot of offensive potential. Yea, Staal is a good player, but for the people that say Skinner is not a sufficient return, I say you are out of your mind.
Staal at his best is a really good #2; Skinner, at his best, is a really skilled top six forward.
I would love to see this happen. |

Sweden 1-1 Belarus at the break. Oscar Lindberg scores first senior international goal. Nearly added a second SH'd. His best WC game. |

Name him, it doesn't matter. Skinner is barely old enough to drink, younger than Kreider, Fast and Lindberg. If this is anyway viable, they have to pull the trigger on that one. - MidnightMarauder
Skinenr actually is not old enough to drink... |

I think Skinner is a great young player and would love him on the Rangers. Staal does a lot for this defense though and I think its been evident in his absence. Maybe Skinner and Murphy for Staal and Thomas. I think a dman like Staal is hard to find and hard to develop and Carolina should pay a premium for him as long as he is healthy and his vision is deemed back to normal at the time of the trade. They gave up a good young center in Sutter, a 1st rounder and a good prospect for Jordan, i think the return for Marc should be similar or better due to what his importance would be on the top d pair there in Carolina. |

Only thing that bothers me is Skinenr gets paid a lot for what he currently brings and is also a whiny female dog. |

He does make a nice salary. Staal has more value to me and I don't think the Rangers should have to include a great prospect like Kreider in the deal. I think a second level guy like Thomas is good enough. |

I know these things are often times matters of opinion, by Ryan Murphy is probably considered by most to be a better prospect than Kreider. Although, if the Rangers could get it done for less, by all means.
But, have to be honest, that Skinner salary number scares me. I think he may be worth it, but that is a big number to live up to, and predictability he had a bad year after signing a big contract. You see that happening more often these days. |

Hey everyone...
Does everyone still think dealing Kreider for Bobby Ryan is crazy?
Told you guys, potential is still potential. I like the kid, but trading potential for proven 30 goal scorer should be a no brainer. |

It wasnt a straight up trade... I think it was Kreider + Dubi + 3rd was the infamous deal that everyone was throwing around. |

I was just watching rangers united on my phone app, and Dave Rosen speculated if clowe goes in it wouldn't shock him if zuccarello is the one out

That would be further proof of Tortorella's idiocy and lack of ability to play talent. |

That is just an awful awful idea, wow. I sometimes think Tortorella makes these asinine decisions to try and get Sather's attention, so maybe he can get fired. |

It's not happening. Kreider sucks, part of it is his own fault. The other part is him not knowing where or who he is playing with on any given night. He will soon fall in line with Jessiman and Grachev. Forwards with size or scoring ability that can't do a thing at the pro level. |

I know pretty much everyone is on the get rid of Kreider train but I am not getting on board. Sorry I won't give up on someone after just 40 total NHL games. |
